Luck doesn't get to choose his playbook, neither does Griffin. Argath even mentions that in the post you quoted. There's a clear difference between the offense Arians is running in Indy and what the Shanahans are doing. And it's not like Luck is refusing to throw short just for the fuck of it. Colts be out there running plays with no/few underneath options. Cause that's the kind of offense Arians wants to run.

But I guess, according to you, we should just stop making excuses and wait for Luck to install an offense that relies on shorter passes just like Griffin did in Washington. :niggaplease:

Those points are relevant to the case at hand. You have a bunch of different things thats conducive to Griffins and Wilsons success while Luck is carrying his team with not nearly as much help. Luck has booked a playoff spot already without week 17 mattering. Going from the worst team in the league to a playoff team with your rookie QB doing it all is a big fucking deal. There is not an argument to made for the Colts being a better ovr team than Wash or Seattle IMO.
 
Voting thread clearly indicates that RGIII should win.........we will see how accurate this thread is when the award is handed out.
i would be surprised if it wasnt RGIII or Luck.
but
even more so if RGIII didnt win it and that is strictly going by QB Stats.
 
If Andrew Luck can beat the Texans this weekend and get the number one seed for the Broncos he's got my vote for OROY.

I think Luck has thrown the ball almost 2 games as worth of attempts than RG III so they should be ranked higher on passing offense. The Redskins are 5th in total offense and the Colts are 9th.

i think most teams would rather have a QB that has that stat going into post season....no? (meaning RGIII)

this can also mean the Colts were more dependant on Luck to Succeed and Luck at present has one more wins then RG III....but it looks more like RG III stat wise....the Colts had to rely more on Luck then the Redskins had to rely on RG to win games and Luck came through...if you want to go by QB rating, RG III wins

Luck shouldn't win ROY. ROY is a stat based award and basically, Luck doesn't have the stats. Despite having a lot of INTs this year he's still done an amazing job. People in this thread trying to compare him to Sanchez are retarded.

Wilson should get it, esp if he breaks the rookie record for TD passes.

Luck.

Despite having worse stats dude is money late in games. In the Colt's 10 victories he's had a game winning drive in 7 of them.

Colts aren't going anywhere in the postseason but it won't be due to Luck holding them back. And I'm not of the belief that putting RG3 in Luck's place would positively change Indy's prospects.
 
Wilson should get it, not hands down, but he absolutely should... people bringing up "Luck and RGIII turned their franchises around" No fucking shit, that's why they went number 1 and 2. Wilson is a "too short to play in NFL" mid round pick that has lifted his team. Beginning of the season he got babied into the system, but it paid off. What have you done for me lately? Wilson has had the Seahawks putting up historic numbers the past several games, and nobody ever, EVER thought that he could even match HALF of the offensive output that he has given that team this season. Wilson has shocked everybody, and I am willing to bet that if he went 3rd overall and got media hype that a lot of you would have different opinions.

And... a lot of you probably disagree with this, but it's my opinion...

the Seahawks are a Super Bowl contender, teams do NOT want to play them... has anybody even joked around about the thought of the Colts or Redskins being in the Super Bowl? It's not even a thought, even to the biggest homers in the world.
