Who should win Offensive ROTY?

Ill go back to the Griffin has help argument, Wilson has Lynch to hand the ball off to. Wilson and Griffin has the #2 and #3 running backs (per their yardage) in the league, who the fuck does Luck have? Not to mention Seattles defense being half decent. All 3 are playing well but Luck is doing so much more with so much less. Colts dont win with their backup playing IMO, Wash and Seattle manages to win games with either of their backups playing IMO therefore Luck >>>>>

Wilson has had the Seahawks putting up historic numbers the past several games, and nobody ever, EVER thought that he could even match HALF of the offensive output that he has given that team this season. Wilson has shocked everybody, and I am willing to bet that if he went 3rd overall and got media hype that a lot of you would have different opinions.

the Seahawks are a Super Bowl contender, teams do NOT want to play them... has anybody even joked around about the thought of the Colts or Redskins being in the Super Bowl? It's not even a thought, even to the biggest homers in the world.

calling them historic numbers is very debatable with the new passing rules etc.

3 rookie QBs doing this well, this early, this often is not a positive. It shows how the quality of play has become very street-ball and none team oriented.

while it cant be denied that a chance in playoffs is a chance for the Super Bowl. All three of these guys should be eliminated before then. And I assume they will be.

considering the Seahawks might play the redskins first, it will be that much easier to have them all eliminated soon enough.

It's not 5 picks an entire season, dudes missed an entire game and parts of two others, Plus he has a game to go. 5 picks in 14 games is still amazing but we're in a league where Josh Freeman posted a 25:6 TD:INT ratio over a full season.

Fair enough but Josh Freeman didn't accomplish that in his rookie year. I don't think RG3 missing one game should really be held against him much. Chances are if RG3 plays in that game he doesn't throw a pick or maybe throws one . Even a 20:6 TD ratio is absolutely unheard of for a rookie QB in this league which has been a passing driven league for at least the last 10 years. I understand your point though

First off, it's completely apparent you didn't watch the skins/browns game because the Redskins ran a completely different offense for that game with Kirk Cousins at the helm. They didn't run a read option with Kirk Cousins LOL. Secondly, Kirk threw 2 picks in that game and has a 1:1 TD:INT ratio on the season (and in that game) so obviously RG3 looks that much more impressive with a 4:1 ratio with that logic. I still don't think a backup QB playing well should have any hinderance on this race. Matt Flynn and Matt Cassell didn't take anything away from Rodgers and Brady's legacy as a great QB despite both putting up great numbers in those systems and those systems only. Finally, it would be highly unlikely RG3 would have thrown 3 picks in every situation. Through 14 games, he has thrown 5 picks meaning about 1 in every 3 games he throws an interception. Using that logic, I think it would be far more probable he wold have thrown 1 pick if any at all during those situations. Of course were into the what if scenarios now that really have no place in this discussion.

I stand by my statement I've made this entire thread, at this point in the season RG3 has the most impressive overall numbers on the board and should get the nod for the award. If he misses the playoffs I could see his stock taking a hit, absolutely. However this hasn't happened yet and we won't know till following Sunday. The actual impact of the loss would also depend on his performance in the game. If he throws 300 yards (YAC or not) and 3 TDs with no picks I highly doubt it takes that much of a hit but if he shits the bed and throws 100 yards with no TDs and 2 picks then he could absolutely lose the award. Who knows what will happen, we'll just have to wait and see.

I think we can all agree that all 3 of these rookies are gonna make great pros for years to come. Each team should feel lucky to have someone like them, especially with how weak this upcoming class is looking at the QB position. I don't think any of the QBs next year will be able to rival any of the numbers put up this year.

he led Redskins down the field in Ravens game before coming out.
Falcons game; Redskins were in it the whole game....lost by 7.
against the Browns; he wasnt needed.......

I'm all for RG3 as ROTY, but he looked pretty craptastic throwing the ball this game. But then again, you're the same guy that attributed Wilson's success to RG3 so, yeah.

RG3 was a practical non factor in the game as far as a QB goes. Dallas shut him down. Doesn't help when your receivers are dropping catches that hit them right between the numbers though.

I still believe RG3 has the better total season stats than any of the rookie QBs but he was definitely out played this week.

Yes but the voters are gonna look at the lines at the end of the day and all they're gonna see is RG3 might not have thrown any picks, but he didnt throw any TDs either. Rushing yards and TDs will only carry you so far as a QB. This week definitely hurt RG3s case more than helped it as neither Luck or Wilson threw any picks and both had more yards and more TDs.

A division title is more of a team accomplishment than individual anyways. One could argue Morris literally carried the team to the division title this week.

Sucks to be Alfred Morris though. If he didnt have 3 phenomenal rookie QBs in his draft class he would've ran away with the award this week. Hell, he still will be in consideration with a 200 yard 3 TD game as everyone's last memory of him.

I wasn't commenting on his statistics, I was commenting on how he threw the ball. He looked like poop. But even if you look at stats, he was 9/18. Either way, it's stupid to come on and say "THIS TEAM WON IS ON A WINNING STREAK ALL NON RG3 SUPPORTERS ARE HATERS!"

This was not the game that separated RG3 from the pack.

anyway; last i checked they look at overall stats for the year which will show the truth on RGIII.
