Who's getting Forza 3?

i really dont understand the thinking in the cars used on the track for the cpu. you have 7 AI cars and of those 4 or 5 of them wont even be close to competitive in the race because they are using inferior cars.

I am doing D and C class races against cpu cars that are F rated....WTF? The first thing this game tells you if you get in a car without upgrades is that your car will no be competitive....why the hell dont they do that for the CPU?

then they force you to start in 8th every fucking time so these slow ass cars can hog the road so you cant get past them. Every race boils down to you vs 1 or 2 cpu cars.

on a positive note....i love all the achievements you get in this game. Its pretty cool seeing a new one pop up that often.

I'm with ya Maynard, I'm having a very difficult time getting into the game.

As I said, if I hadn't played F2, I'm blown away, but the improvements between the two aren't much. I just can't see myself getting into it.

Hopefully something happens soon that gets me into it, but, yeah I just rented it because I foresaw this being a problem.

Single player is boring......all I am doing is doing the career mode to save up money for my online racing league.

Very few racing games have good career modes. GRID is pretty good and so is Shift....but other than that they all are just a checklist of events that get harder and longer.

Just like COD4 you play the single player for a while then you go online and never play single player again.

I am not sure what you guys were expecting.

i wasnt expecting much cause i already saw the reviews and played the demo. But i thought the season mode would be like a real mode. Plus i was hoping they would improve the races offline

do online races allow you to earn money?

yes online races earns you xp and credits the same way offline does.........the only reasons to race offline is hotlaps and practice. Its like playing Madden or NCAA vs the CPU...usually a waste of time.

Also if you are not into the customization and tuning of cars then yes this game is not for you.

I like building like 10 different Mustangs or STI's with all different paint, purposes and different classes.

The Game is Endless IMO.

have you checked out any of these new tracks? i was able to find where you can veiw the tracks. You just have to do it from free mode.

but they added some sick looking tracks. some that look harder the Nürburgring (yes, i had to google that spelling)

Yeah I have raced on a few that a pretty sweet......I still love Road America and Mugello though....those are my favorites.

will be looking for some new favorites.

Maynard, the game does get harder. lol. Wait till you get to the A class championship race. I was busting my ass to stay in 1st (that was a bitch in itself to get) in my SEAT Leon SC.

As far as viewing the cars with the right analog, go to my cars > choose car, hit x > view car

Load times are def a pain in the ass.

So maynard, can we agree that GT5 will be > forza 3. :tiptoe:

idk if GT5 will be better. F3 is still has excellent racing in the game. played online with a buddy last night and we tried out some of the new modes. played cat and mouse and tag...then did a drift race which was probably the most enjoyable mode we tried. i never use drifting but i can see how it would be a huge advantage to someone who does

i cant find where time trials are in this game....i want the achievement so if anyone knows please post where the time trials are in the menus.

glad i just rented this one cause this is a very small improvement over F2....they should call this one Forza 2.5...or maybe 2.1 cause of the small upgrade from F2

the problem with forza 3 is similar to what i read about nhl 10. The previous version was so great that they could not really improve on the greatness..
f3 is a great game, but its the same great game as F2

You put in disc 1 and then it asks if you want to install disc 2.

I actually already installed both but haven't played it yet. Figured I'd rather get the install portion done while watching NCAA Football as opposed to installing when I want to be playing.
