I dont switch to PC because I was raised on consoles along with all of my friends. Kinda hard to change and get everyone else to change as well.

That's the only valid argument to me. I was raised on a PC, so I am always fine with it, but all of my friends play on the X-Box. I can't hop on Battlefield, COD or any other game on any system and have people playing. I do enjoy hoping online for other systems and modes, but most of the time, my online time is spent on the X-Box platform because of that.

It's actually funny for me, because I was PC first, then N64, then Playstation2 and then I finally made the X-Box plunge with the 360 which I bought after my HS graduation.

I dont because I dont know what to look for... I love PC gaming but I hate having to run most games on low settings.. Id love to get a great pc or laptop that would have no problem running games like WOW and SWTOR on at least med settings.

I was a PC gamer way back in the early 2000s, but I simply don't want to spend $500 a year or more to upgrade to be a cool PC gamer. Right now, if you want to be the coolest PC gamer, you have to pay nearly $1,000 for the best graphics card ... and that card will suck in a year (or less). While I absolutely agree the PS4 and Xbox One suck graphically compared to that $1,000 graphic card, I won't have to replace my new console next year. I also prefer to game on my 50-inch TV lying on my couch, not my 24-inch monitor on my office desk.

It's not that overblown. I look at my current PC - pretty much elite 4 years ago and barely passable now.

I have both personally. I have a PC that I love for FPS, RTS, etc... and a PS4 that I love, or plan to, for sports and exclusives. Both have their purpose.

Obviously a gaming PC has its up front costs which sucks but as someone pointed out the amount saved in game deals offsets that real quick. Hell I probably offset that in one round of steam holiday sales. PS4 I love for when I just want to sit back on the couch or lay in bed and relax and play a game. And once things get going game wise, for the PS4 it will certainly continue to garner attention.

Enough to know that one would not need an Nvidia Titan, or a card anywhere near that expensive to have a damn good machine, nor would that card be obsolete in a year or less.

What I do think and hope will be interesting is Valve venturing into "console" world with SteamOS and Steam machines. Looking forward to see what happens when people can pay ridiculously cheap prices for great games and can more easily sit back and relax and play them in more of a console setting. Certainly don't think it would destroy any of the consoles. But I hope maybe it will start to cause prices to decrease in general. We'll see. Still a long way to go before this is even viable given the SteamOS beta and games I had tried. I have hope though.

how exactly is an i920 and 12 gb of ram barely passable? most game recommend no more than 4gbs and a quad core. i use 8gb of ram with a quad core and never, i mean never play a game on anything but ultra settings.

Honestly guys, I mean this ... I'm ok with PC gaming as an equal to console gaming. I could care less. I have a 360 controller that plugs into my PC.

If I liked the PC community as much as the console community here, I'd probably barely touch my console for anything but shooters and Madden. Grown too accustomed to a controller to use a mouse and keyboard for shooters. My laptop has better components than both consoles.

The most important thing for gaming on a PC is your Graphics card. I have a GTX 760 which costs $250 and I have yet to find a game I cant max out and run at 60 fps. I think Battlefield maxed runs under 60 and certain times. I can play Batman: AO with everything turned up to Ultra/High runs at 60 FPS. (if that is important to you). If I feel the need to upgrade later I can simply buy another 760 when it is cheaper...like under $200 and run it in SLI and that is more powerful than a TITAN. The other way you can go is sell your used GTX 760 and use the funds to help you pay for the next great card. Thats how I paid for my current 760...thank you Ebay.

When people look at graphics card prices they immediately look at the most expensive one and just throws their hands up. There is no need for a $500 GTX 780 if you are running in 1080p. The only reason you get those other cards are for higher resolution gaming or Multi-screen display. You can buy a $250 card every 4-5 years and be fine unless you want bleeding edge at >60 fps.

My favorite thing about the PC gaming world is having control of my gaming experience. If Titanfall comes out on the Xbone and it runs at 30fps or possible lower at busy times there is NOTHING you can do. With a PC I can control how my games run...not the developer. I am assuming the Developer doesn't release a broken game which of course is possible on any platform.

Also over time Nvidia (only cards I own) release drivers on a regular basis constantly increasing performance in games. By the way the Nvidia drivers download and install by them selves. I never download or install drivers manually. Nvidia has a client called GeForce Experience which handles everything from drivers, graphics settings, streaming to twitch, and recording gameplay.
