why is Johnny Manziel even a thought as a Heisman finalist ?

I think the biggest advantage for Manziel is he plays QB. You would have to have an insane year to be considered as a defensive player. I don't know his stats but don't hear much of it on tv or websites to make me think he has a legit shot at taking it away from an offensive player.

Manziel would win it if he wasn't a freshmen, but the voters have always shown a lot of hesitation voting for freshman historically.
Adrian Peterson should have won in 2004 but they took lienart over him since he was a freshman, I don't see them changing this year.

Equal or better in everything but INTs, so yeah. Also had a 20 tackle game which may be the best individual LB performance of the year, non-Jarvis Jones division. :yep:

Obviously, the Butkus committee isn't going to base their selection off stats either way. No matter, the purpose of the exercise was simply to show everyone how good Kevin Minter is :yep:

I just know Te'o has two. One against Navy and one against MSU.

It's odd though because some award websites list Te'o with only 6 INT's. He has 7. So who knows.

They both are probably gone already. With jones being projected 1 and Ogletree in top 15 in the draft for next year.

Same for basketball. Even the boxscores are incomplete.

The media hype makes me think otherwise and Teo doesn't have a Conference Championship game this weekend to put up the last memorable play or numbers. Manziel has the victory over a #1 Bama team, which the media was saying they could beat a NFL team the week before. Also there is no supposed "West Coast" bias for the two guys...which one could say can help/hinder both guys.
