Your first one is good , ppl used to use fake accounts and then get their buddy to quit thus resulting in gettin 100wins in 10minutes on their record.

On PS2 you could offer CPU mercy in 08, not sure about 09 though

you can't offer the CPU mercy in 09, you couldn't do it in 08, 07, or 06 on the next gen consoles...

its funny, because you could do it on the Xbox or PS2, which is what I did A LOT in Madden 06 because everyone would quit, it was nice knowing all you had to do was put 21 up on the comp. and game over, especially if it was a blowout in the 1rst quarter, and all you had to do was get to the end of the half and you were done with the game. I don't understand the logic in making the player play a computer opponent for the rest of the game when you already know that the player is playing online because he wants to play other PEOPLE. if anything, just give him an automatic win if someone quits.

the people that abuse the win glitch are going to do it either way, even if you take it out of the game, all games are the same, and eventually people will find a different way to do it. so I'm not worried about it, its just I HATE going to play online and after user picking a kid 6 times in the first quarter and I'm up by 35 they quit, and I have to spend an hour playing the computer, even if all I do is run the ball and eat clock, it isn't exactly fun.

Madden would be great if they brought the mini games back like they used to have them, I was over at my friends house while I was on break from college, and I fired up his ps2 and was playing Madden 06 minigames and I just couldn't put it down, it was hilarious how I was trying to do the coffin corner punt perfectly, but it really said something, that the replay value and greatness of those games were by far the best EA had every made, I remember I used to play Rushing Attack in Madden 05 NON STOP, I literally would only play rushing attack online, because I loved that game so much. in 06 it was the same deal, if I didn't feel like playing a full game, I'd get into rushing attack, not to mention, it helped SO MUCH with my stick skills its hard to believe, I mean, I played rushing attack so well I mastered the open field running and tackling with ANY player and its like I wasn't even trying to practice because rushing attack was so fun.

thats what Madden needs, its great that everyone looks real and Marion Barber can pull of crazy runs where he breaks 8 tackles, but who on this website or anywhere can honestly say this madden is better then 05 or 06? BOTH of those games are in the top 3 games I've ever played in my life simply because it was the type of game I could play EVERY day and not get tired of, and thats what I miss about madden.

I traded in Madden right before GOW2 game out because I despised it that much, it was trash to me and honestly it wasn't fun, I find it funny because the game I still can't put down now is NCAA Football, I can play that game nonstop, but even it doesn't match up to Madden 05 or 06.

honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing 06 with updated rosters, because that game raped every madden that I've seen so far.

He's not lying about that part, that use to be all I see him playing online, now I see you playin 2K9 every now and then.

I can't tell you how many hours I use to spend trying to win the pass deflect drill on all-madden with Champ Bailey, or trying to beat the pocket pressence on all-madden, I spent hours trying to beat QB drill where you had to throw to WR's and get the ball inside of those holes, I still don't think I ever beat that. Then after you beat the drills they had those "situations" for you to play. Those were awesome, I remember that one where you had to get like 20 yards on only 2 carries on All-madden, I can't tell you how long I spent trying to do that.

Sometimes when I was bored I use to go to 2-minute drill, picked 4 teams and spent hours seeing what team I was best with and what RB could rack up the most yards.

Then when/if that got boring I spend hours creating formations and plays that I never even used.

Now the only think that's good.......scratch that, semi-good is the online play and once I get tired of playing the CPU after quits, people glitching, R/Cing and D/Cing there's nothing else so I just pop in another game to play online like COD:4, Halo 3, NBA2K9 or GTA4.

I think one thread is sufficent as to whats wrong with madden (an official one!) not 9hundred million different threads. Have any of you played 2k football this year. It ***** sucks . Um, first...2k didn't make a football game this year. Second, the game that they made last year was their first attempt on this generation of console, and their first attempt in 3 years of making a football game.

So if you really want to compare, APF 2k8 shits all over Madden 2006's(this gen) chest.

Yes, but again, those were both of their first next gen attempts. Also the first football game 2k had made in 3 years.

AJay, duh it's easy to read the defense with Twins. If both DBs cover both you WRs, it's MAN. That's how it is in the NFL as well.

Tell me the last time you saw in the NFL in real life a LB cover a number 2 WR, and a DB cover the TE in man coverage. It doesn't make sense.

In ESPN NFL they let you pick what your defensive line does then what your secondaries assignments are. Makes for a lot more play possibilities and makes it much more convienent.

Elaborate. I think atmosphere is obvious, There is actually a crowd, and the sidelines are interested in the game. Refs on the field...

Animations... I find a lot of the Madden animations to be absurd. The spin catch, the terrible DB animations, the gang tackling looking like WWE wrestling slams. Defenders chasing a ball carrier down field look ridiculous. A thrown pass actually spiraling, or wobbling.

Gameplay might be up in the air, but I prefer 2k's engine. I like that a QB running backwards will throw a shitty ball. I like having to set my feet before I pass. I like the line forming a real pocket, and pushing the ends past the qb. I like that man to man defense isn't worthless, though on the flip side, if I remember right the zone defense had some problems.

2k8 has the best passing system it is simply amazing that in madden if you lob it up someone going to pick it off b/c every player seems to have 99 hops and jumps like superman and the ball doesnt go right

2k got the passing down i absolutely love the system

I agree with a lot of the complaints (especially online dynasty which they say will be a lot better next year). But its seems like some of the complaints on the thread are more about making the game easier so that "the complainer" can get a victory. for example, someone was complaining about how hard it is to complete the deep ball, but they forget that the Defense has been purposely given an advantage so that Rocket catching will be minimized, other wise the itll just be like madden 08 for the most part (and I know some of you who were on sportsgamer complaining about how the RC is BS).

Easy Solution, take out the RC completely.
