Wyoming State's first game in Division 1 football would be a 17-7 loss to Nevada.
LB Darrell Crosby would tally 7 tackles(5 solo, 5 for loss). QB Travie Slopes finished the game 7-20 for 207 yards, 1 touchdown, and 3 interceptions. SS Marlon Irvin would have 4 tackles and in interception.

WR Andrae Rawls hauls in the lone touchdown for Wyoming State.

For the second game in Wyoming State history, the Settlers would have to travel to the state of Arkansas to play the 17th ranked Razorbacks. Shit.


As it turns out, WSU made this one quite a game, although they would eventually lose it with the final score being 45-34.

Star LB Darrell Crosby would finish with 9 tackles (7 solo), 4 tfl, a sack and a forced fumble. FS Andrew Garner would have 3 tackles, 3 pass deflections and a very nice interception (shown below).

QB Travie Slopes went 15-25 for 335 yards, 3 touchdown passes and 3 interceptions. WR Andrae Rawls pulled in 4 catches for 182 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Allan Garner makes a touchdown saving interception.

FB Desmond Chambers recovers a fumble that was forced on a punt return, and returns it 48 yards for a touchdown.​

SETTLERS WIN, SETTLERS WIN!

That is not a typo, folks! The Wyoming State Settlers recorded their first victory of the season (and in the history of the school) when they travelled to Lubbock, Texas and defeated the Red Raiders 24-16.

LB Darrell Crosby doesn't take shit from anybody. 6 tackles, 3 for loss. 1 busted facemask.

QB Travie Slopes went 17-30 for 226 yards, 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. WR Mark London had 4 catches for 96 yards and a touchdown.

Fan favorite, CB Shawn Kaplan (the teams Nickel-back. No, not the band.), says GET THAT SHIT OUT OF HERE right before he pushes the WR out of bounds so the touchdown catch doesnt count :smug:.

TE Marco Munoz scores the go-ahead TD with 2:12 left in the game.​

Oh, and September 24th is now known as Darrell Crosby day, as he completely raped the mystery team. He would finish with 15 tackles (9 of them solo, 5 of them for loss, one of them being a sack.), and 3 pass deflections. :bow:

Wyoming State blew out New Mexico State 42-14.

Travie Slopes threw for 286 yards and 3 touchdowns on 12-18 passing (also threw an INT and ran for a 6 yard touchdown). RB Ben Alfred carried the ball 18 times and got 89 yards. WR James Morse had 4 catches for 167 yards and a touchdown. WR Mark London had 2 catches for 42 yards and a TD.


DT Steve Henderson had 2 sacks. Darrell Crosby had 9 tackles (3 for loss, 1 sack) and 2 deflections.
