I really think some people just arn't technically inclined when it comes to navigating things.
I still don't understand the problems twigg is describing. I rarely touch the dashboard but have yet to have a problem finding something I wanted on it.

So what? Honestly. It's not even worth these very keystrokes to argue about something so utterly irrelevant IMO, but to each their own. I just can't see why anyone would give an oz of fuck about what you're in a tizzy about. To say this simple reason is why the entire dashboard completely fails is so bloody dramatic, but again, suit yourself sir.
Who cares? How many times do people have to say it? I can find what I want with no problems. I really am sorry that you can't. I don't like or care about the new dashboard, and I certainly I don't spend my time cruising the dashboard and playing some meta game that involves determining what should be where, when. Because: IT'S THE FUCKING DASHBOARD. It is simply there for me as a means to get to the game that I intend to play. No more, no less.

The bottom line is that an update is supposed to make the experience better, not worse, especially when you're paying for the "service".
That's a good point. I use to visit them years ago but if I recall they took them down for a few months and I never went back. I remember trying to find threads for certain games (they use to have forums for each individual game) and couldn't find half the ones I was looking for. Then the forums went down. I guess they are back up now?
There's nothing narrowminded about it. I don't care about the service, and I don't consider myself as paying for it because 1) I could get it for free; 2) I don't pay for gold for the dashboard. The dashboard is simply there for me as a means to get new stuff. It isn't my fault that I don't have as much trouble finding new things. Or any trouble really.
Also, just FYI: you're looking at the Featured section. If you hit the left bumper you can cycle through things like new games, new add ons, new demos, etc...and it lists all of the newest things in each category, arguably more organized than cramming everything in the first tab.

Like I've said numerous times, this thing is supposed to be designed to make things easier for noobs and the Kinect crowd, but it does the exact opposite.

Silver members get Xbox Live for free. They just lose out on things like online multiplayer or apps. They can still use the dashboard, buy games, play trials, etc...
Also, a "Featured Section" is pretty common. Programs like Steam use it, and somehow people still manage to find new things. It's stuff that either MS wants to push or is currently popular. It's not exactly something that is horrible for them to do. It's new releases for featured items. Either way, this is a completely INSANE conversation because your point almost makes you sound like you're a 70 year old senator that thinks SOPA is a good idea. It's not hard to find ANYTHING. End of discussion.

But still, why is there no "New Releases' tab for just XBLA games? They have Demos, Featured and a few other tabs but none for XBLA. You just have to hope it;s on the scrolling tab in the middle or otherwise know it was coming out.

That is my problem. So far every iteration of the dash seemingly improved things in one way or the other. There isn't a single thing about this shit that improved anything. It actually took several steps back.
What's more confusing or crazy? Me coming in here to complain about yet another shitty aspect of this thing or guys like you coming in constantly to defend it when you just keep saying the same thing over and over again of how YOU don't have a problem with it?
