Volgarr is fucking awesome as it is everything I thought it would be. I reached the first boss and almost took him down. Let me tell you one thing...the game is DIFFICULT!!! It is a memorization/trial and error game. I kept dying but could not stop playing yesterday. I streamed a bit...but nobody watches.

I realized half way through that I could throw spears with the B button...made it much easier.

Glad that you're enjoying it! I really loved the game. One of the first I finished following my surgery, which was maybe risky as I was supposed to avoid things that elevated my blood pressure.

It doesn't get any easier after the first level. In fact, I'd go so far as to say the first level is easy at this point for me, after the number of times I've played it. I can now mow through it without being touched.

The first boss is also SUPER easy in comparison to later ones. The final boss is such a FUCKING ASSPIRATE.

Read the comments in the thread from that episode. I'm far from in the minority with that opinion. In fact it was a large majority that couldn't believe it.

I'm more frustrated with his wife than I am with the annoying kids. Kids are going to be kids. But his lazy wife has no excuse. The dude does this show when he would probably rather be sleeping because he wakes up crazy early to catch shitty mass transit to get to work each day. His wife either doesn't work or doesn't have as demanding a commute and yet she can't deal with the kids for that hour? You can't seriously think that's acceptable?

It's shit like that why I'm glad I don't have kids.

ok...I going to assume you are just being silly with that post. I am not by any stretch going to assume his kids are out of control brats. He has a young 3 year old son and from time to time he has trouble falling asleep or just wakes up. It happens...he could be sick, a noise could have woken him ect, ect. Sometimes you have to stop what your doing and help your wife or sometimes you wife has tried everything and you need to step in.

Yeah, I don't get it. His kids seem like out of control brats. Don't they record the show at like 9-10pm? There is no reason those fucking kids should be awake. And why the fuck isn't his wife getting off her fat ass and handling that shit? When he they recorded that show the day before his birthday and his son was being an annoying shit, I couldn't believe his wife was just ignoring the situation and sipping wine. You can't give the man an hour of fucking peace to record the show...ON HIS BIRTHDAY?!?

I haven't cared about or listened to GB in quite some time. I got so sick of Brad latching on to one game (Starcraft) and droning on about it week after week, Patrick being a whiny bitch and Jeff hating everything. Vinny was cool but not cool enough to have to deal with those other guys.

Its a great dynamic.

1. Brad is a real nerd with no responsibilities and he likes most games and plays a lot of them.
2. Jeff is a read nerd with no responsibilities and he hates most games but sometimes plays some old school crazy shit.
3. Vinny is semi nerd with real life responsibilities and likes most games and loves to break them.
4. Drew is not a nerd with no responsibilities and sometimes brings some interesting facts to the discussion.
5. Patrick is ok...I like that he is on sometimes and not all the time.
6. Alex is cool and should be on more but not as funny or sarcastic as most of them.
7. Totally miss Ryan

I love it when Bard and Jeff fight...and Vinny is just hysterical. Drew is ok...a little vanilla. He is not a nerd like the other guys.

I love when Jeff and Brad fight, but without Ryan around and now Vinny, it could get ugly. I remember that podcast where they fought about FPS' (around Garden Warfare and COD) and it got to the point where it felt like I was listening to my parents fight. Sometimes they need someone to reel them in.

I like Drew, but yeah, he does like, real stuff on the weekends. And when he goes nerd, he goes nerd in ways that just don't interest me that much (flight sims, etc...)

Listening to the Bombcast from yesterday, and it looks like Vinny is headed East to start up...Giantbomb East.

I'm surprised it took him this long after having a kid. I'm curious what this will mean for the podcast and things like Unprofessional Fridays, but overall I think it will allow them to produce more of their own brand of weird content (VinnyVania, Breaking Brad, etc...) so it's probably a good thing.

Still, sad to see Vinny go Him and Jeff together is pretty awesome, and serves as a nice break from Jeff and Brad fighting.
