Very busy summer window for me in Liverpool. Gave season expectations of a title challenge, and wasted no time spending the money to get the job done.

In:

ST - Romelu Lukaku for £34.5m
MF - Lee Cattermole for £5m
LB - Leighton Baines for £7.25m
CB - Simon Kjaer for £15m
MF - Kwadwo Asamoah for £13m

Out:

CB - Vincent Kompany to Wolves for £2.9m
AMC - Alberto Aquilani to Birmingham for £2.7m
CB - Daniel Agger to West Ham for £3.3m
AMC - Jonjo Shelvey to Blackpool for £3.8m
MF - Siem de Jong to Newcastle for £5.5m
LB - Oscar Wendt to Leeds for £1.3m

Those two aforementioned strong regens both went out on loan.

van Duijevenbode to Burnley

I did decide on the 4-4-2 diamond. This essentially ends the career of Steven Gerrard as he doesn't have the stamina to play as a Box to Box Midfielder anymore. He could possibly be a guy that subs for 20-30 minutes in the second halves of games, but other than that he's no longer starting. Here's the selection I'm rolling with:

Way too much wasteful long shooting, which is weird because it's the same 4-4-2 diamond tactic I use in club play which has everyone's long shots set to rarely.

Downloaded this over Christmas Break, still trying to learn everything as I am a rookie soccer fan really.

Started with AC Milan before I really try to get into it. I don't really see the fun right now and basically play it like once a week and probably less now that I am at college again.

If I was you, I would just go with a team I liked to watch. It would make it easier to learn new things as well as keep your interest. I tried starting out with a bad team and kept losing. I switched to a MLS team and played through 2 seasons fast. Now I went back to Europe.

Just my suggestion though.

AC Milan would be my team. I adopted them when Kevin Prince went there. Follow them throughout the season and they are my team when I played FIFA.

I think my main problem is I don't know enough about the entire club scene. Was basically the average national fan until the summer after the world cup where I decided to give the whole sport a shot. FIFA gave me a good understanding of how transfers and things like that kind of work, and I would say I know a good amount about the game of soccer itself.

On the verge of getting fired from Newcastle. Haven't won in a few matches and just lost to Wigan. Surprised it didn't happen after that. I'm almost full strength now and I've tried out a lot of different formations that haven't worked, so I'm just going to cling to what got me there and see how long I can last.
