40M now according to the one article I posted which clearly says what the ad stuff is all about and twigg continues to ignore it.

I'm pretty amused at how much stock you put into someone who reviews video games for a living.

As if they are some certified pro in gamign because they have a journalism degree.

I give them a lot more stock than peole around here, that's for sure.

My point is that this whole move towards ads is horrible and making what is already a deteriorating "service" even worse. Then the usual handful of people come in saying "You;re the only one that has a problem with it. You're just an imbecile." Then I point out that fucking well known professionals in the gaming industry have the same issue. Then of course I get the same typical response "Why do you put some much stock in these guys." I don't know, maybe because they know a lot more about games then this whole site combined? They probably forget more about games in one day then you guys will ever know.

Would you give a guy like Nate Ahern, the IGN fuck who may or may not be writing their sports reviews, when it's clear to ANYONE who's played the franchise even for a couple years, that he rarely knows what he's talking about?

The fact that people that actual know shit, the core gamers, think it's a joke. But unfortunately that group only makes up a percentage of the millions of people on Live. A good chunk of people on Live are fucking CoD fanboys that just know that the dash shows up for a few seconds while they boot up the greatest game ever made...or at least until the next one comes out. Just because Live has millions of subscribers and people continue to pay for it doesn't mean they know anything about it. It's just a means to an end for most people. They pay their subscription so they can shoot virtual people.

I specifically point out GB because if there is one thing they're known for it's their integrity. They don't have to filter what they say. They just say what they want, when they want. Their site isn't littered with ads. Actually, they have ZERO ads, which is funny considering the topic we're discussing. So yeah, I put a ton of stock in those guys. I sure put way more stock in them than a site like IGN. I don't even visit IGN...ever. Mainly because it's pretty well known that every gaming company is in their pockets. Do I agree with everything they say? Of course not. Because ultimately they are opinions. But complaining about the shitty dashboard and pointing out the reasons WHY it's shitty and has gotten worse over the past year or so, is not really an opinion.

It's a perfect example. They love that game. I don't. But loving a game is all opinion based. Saying that the dash is fucked because of X, Y and Z is fact. Whether it really bothers you, Leaf, Seth, whoever is another story entirely.

Again, that was an example. I even checked the thread before I posted and no one said that. But they've said it about countless other games. "Did anyone see GB's Quick Look? The game looks awesome. I'm probably going to get it now."

As for the $5, it's hilarious how some of you guys construe the things I post. JMS made a thread on the game asking who else was getting it. I played the trial and said I thought it was $5 too much and if I did end up getting it I'll wait for a DotW. Then Seth (huge surprise there!) and you made such a big deal about how it's only $5 and what difference does it make?!? I wasn't the one that went into the thread saying "Fuck you guys thinking this game is so great and worth $15. You guys are morons!" But that;s basically what you said about me for thinking the way I did. Also, I didn't realize a a thread asking who was getting a game was really just a thread intended on people slobbing on it's knob. So of course when people start attacking my intelligence and question my opinion I'm going to defend myself. So, ultimately, who spent more time "whining" about it or making it a bigger deal than it was?

Leftwich agreed with what I said. I didn't see a single fuck given on his statement. Funny how that works.

I also find it funny that several people have went into the Sony All-Stars thread and said "I don't see what the big deal is. It;s just a SSB rip off.' But lo and behold, no one is jumping on those guys.
