clearly one of the reasons you paid to own a PS3 is its free service

Naw the main reason I own it is because I like the GAMES that are exclusive to the PS3 GAME CONSOLE. Since it is still just a game system.

Noire's got DLC connected to the Rockstar Club (same deal as the DLC from Red Dead Redemption) and preorders from whichever store you get it from.

If you can't stay signed into Rockstar's network/get on XBLA or PSN, you're SOL.
