Pictures like this make this game look awesome but they take so long to get good (at least to me) that I get bored of them. I'm really going to try and pace myself with this game. Everyone (here and sites) seem so psyched for this game.

Screenshots are usually taken from events later in the game....sometimes many hours into it. For me it seemed as if I was in the "prison" forever, so I didn't get too far into the game. I wonder how long will it take before I see a group of mammoths, giants, or dragons in the game.

The way the game works, the 1st dungeon you start in in oblivion is like a tutorial/character building thing. After that the entire world is open, if you wanna go somehwere that there's bears, and your level 1, you can, you'll just get fucked up.

fallout 3 was the same. the opening vault was your tutorial and once you left the game was open world.

im like ryne though. i didnt get to far beyond the opening dungeon. i just wasnt felling it. i would like to give it another try but fear its so dated that it wouldnt be worth it. i got a guy on my FL that still plays the game

Def worth it, there's so much to do it can be a little overwhelming at 1st because you don't know where to go. I'd say start off with some guild missions, like theives guild if sneaking is your thing, or warriors guild if your a fighter ect. Those get you out seeing different stuff and doing different things in the game. There's so much to do i never finished more than 10% of the story and i put in like 80hrs.
