Hell, knowing EA they will probably just port the last PSP version and update the rosters. At least we'll be able to check out the demo first.Comment

There was a good article written a few weeks back about the Vita version. It is basically going to be a stripped down port of Madden '12 based on the fact that they really didn't get started on it until after the first of this year and had very limited resources. It was developed by HB studios in Nova Scotia under the supervision of EA Tiburon. That said, it did appear that the gameplay and graphics were fairly solid when this guy checked out a beta version so hopefully it will give us a good portable football experience. For Madden '14, I would like it to have the same level of interoperability that the "The Show" series does for baseball.

Amazon has dropped the pre-order price for the Vita version of Madden '13 to $34.69 with a $10 credit to your Amazon account and free shipping. Basically makes the game $25 net cost on launch day. Not a bad deal for those who are interested

The graphics look pretty shitty in those screen shots. I'd be willing to guess that the sidelines and other peripheral shit will be completely absent as well.
Too bad we can't get a few copies for review purposes or something. I guess only Knubb gets special treatment like that.
Edit: Apparently TRU has it for $29.99.Comment

I think they look pretty good. Who cares about sideline stuff? I am buying the game to play football, not look at sidelines. I am excited for a Madden game to play on the go!Comment

It's all but a given that the sidelines and any superfluous pixels not directly related to the gameplay will be gone. We might get a Vita review copy but there are no guarantees. If we don't, I will still purchase due to the low price and it will be the only portable NFL experience I will have available.
I'm glad there is a demo I can try out first.Comment

Yeah, I am looking forward to getting the demo to try out.
I agree that EA likes to screw us, and give the bare minimum, but I still think these graphics look pretty goodComment

The Show's character models look great on Vita. Based on those screen shots, I can't say the same for Madden. I'm still looking forward to trying it out today.Comment
