Seriously, no point Red Box'ing this game. There is way too much shit to do. Just buy it. I can already see that this game is easily going to be worth $60.

Too late for that already. Just finished the intro, pretty badass so far. Sounds like this game is going to have a good storyline and characters so far.

Do you not have PS+? If you do you need to download FC2. Definitely not as good as this game but damn good.

I also have Far Cry Instinct/Predator for 360. It was decent but it was just a PC port I believe. The original Far Car was only a PC game.

Nah I've just had it when they offer the free month trials. Didn't even know FC2 was on that list.

 

Just played through getting the shrooms for the Doctor and lemme tell you, that mission was quite a trip (pun intended). I love how this game is just all over the place in a very good way.

So I'm going hunting for pigs since I need to upgrade my wallet and syringe case and I'm thinking I'm all by myself in the middle of the woods so I just shoot a couple of pigs with my STG. Well sure enough I hear guys yelling from a distance and coming down running looking for me, then I hear another jeep pull up with three more guys. Meanwhile I run up the hill and plan on flanking around, by the time I come around I'm hearing shots and I see this bag ass Asian black bear attacking all these fools taking them out one by one. So I let the bear pounce on all of them until he pounces on the last guy then I just open up fire and take him out.

So not only did I get my pigs, I also got the nice gift of five dead bodies to loot from and a bear hide on top of that. Oh and a getaway vehicle if I'm feeling so inclined (although I do like walking on foot as it's easier to stay undetected and find chests).

Yea, safe to say, this game is fucking awesome.

By the way, what weapon have you guys found to be the best for hunting so far? From somewhat of a distance that's accurate yet powerful enough to not waste so many bullets? I know upgrading all your shit helps (and I've actually done a fair share of it) but I'm assuming the good ol' fashioned sniper rifle should be my hunting weapon of choice?

Yeah I pretty much only hunt with my silenced pistol and bow right now. The bow works pretty good if the animals don't know you're there, but it's pretty tough to hit a moving target with it. I imagine the M-700 sniper rifle is also a good one, but I haven't unlocked it yet.

I would imagine the bow but I haven't unlocked it yet.

By the way, can you recover your arrows after shooting them into animals and/or enemies?

Went on another hunting trip. Went and killed some Cassowary for the Rugged Wallet. Then I decided since I was already up that way I would head over to the island with the Temple of Stone. Went in there and found a relic. While going around the backside of the island, I see some sharks, so I pop those mo-fos with my STG from the beach, go and collect. Killed 4 sharks, so that gave me enough for the Heavy Duty Holster and the Heavy Duty Wallet.
