My first game I have finished since GTA V 2 weeks after it came out.



3 starred all the main story-line levels and unlocked the extra ones (ill play those as I have extra time)

Sat down and took 2-3 hours to go back and make sure I had all the Big Star Coins and finally finished this beast lol. Next on my list is probably going to be finishing A Link Between Worlds.

I loved it. If Kojima does what he's been hinting at and rereleases MGS1-3 again on the PS4 I would buy them all in a heart beat. 3 was so excellent. The gameplay improvements, the music, the boss fights, playing as OG Snake in his prime. Just an excellent game overall.

Which brings me to my most recent gaming accomplishment:

Finished Guns of the Patriots this morning. Holy shit I was not expecting that Debriefing after the Epilogue. So many questions answered. So awesome the way it all wrapped up. I won't go too much further into it, don't want to spoil anything in case there are some people here who want to play through the games themselves.

But if you have a PS3 still sitting around and you've never played these games I highly recommend buying the HD Collection + 4 and jumping in. You should be able to pick them all up for around $30 like I did. That's just a stupidly low price for what you're getting. 4 alone will be well worth playing the other ones, although 3 has vaulted itself into my top games of all time list as well.

I wouldn't say it was obnoxious or out of place. I'm assuming it was during the Epilouge/Debriefing after the final boss, but it didn't feel any different than the rest of the game. To me it felt like a very necessary denouement for the series. If anything it would have been a lot worse to not have those final cutscenes. Especially because of what took place in those 71 minutes, maybe some of the most important information revealed as far as all of the game's overall plot.

If you aren't a fan of these games or haven't played the earlier ones then I don't think these games are really made for you at this point or with you in mind at all. They're made for the fans. And the length of the cutscenes might sound excessive, but if you immerse yourself in the world you're going to want to watch it all and you're going to appreciate every minute.

sounds like you enjoyed it...thats all that matters. i would not mind a long closing scene at all. i guess as a preference if they kept them shorter during the game and saved the long one for the end that would be cool. during the game i am usually all gung ho to play then i get to the cut scene and just want it to be over cause i am geared up to play the game.
