Like I've mentioned before, Nintendo was beyond retarded not having a ton of their first party franchises ready to go at or near launch.

Wii U sales hit a low in January and February this year, according to the latest NPD data.
Nintendo's console sold just 57,000 units in January, managing to up that number to 64,000 in February. This is worse than any recorded week for the current-generation consoles (Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3). The Xbox was top of the hardware chart with 302,000.
Wii U sold 3 million by the end of December - a decent launch that outpaced most others in recent history - but sales have since fallen off a cliff as the console has suffered an almost total absence of new releases. Next week (the week after in Europe), Lego City Undercover will be the first significant game to be released for the console in four months.
Overall video game sales are down 25% on where they were last February in the U.S. as the retail market continues to shrink. As ever, though, it's worth pointing out that NPD does not count digital sales, DLC or in-game purchases.Comment

There isn't anything that I'm interested in trying which is the WiiU's problem. It doesn't have any games worth a damn.Comment

I have it and although I don't play it too much it's fun as hell to play with my nephews or family members. There isn't a game that appeals to me much which is the major problem but it's pretty cool to have. Loading times to switch screens is stupid it takes too long.Comment

Rumor: Lego City Undercover eShop download requires external hard drive
Aside from the payment required to download Lego City Undercover when it launches on the Wii U eShop next week, on March 18, you'll also need an external hard drive.
The information comes from the official game page. Clicking pre-order on the top-right provides two options: retail and eShop download. The eShop listing says: "An external hard drive is required to download this software." It may be a situation where the basic Wii U's 8GB of storage isn't enough for the download, or it's possible an external hard drive is needed even with the 32GB deluxe model.
We've contacted Nintendo for more information. We'll be sure to relay Nintendo's final word as soon as we get it.

I don't know if it's a Gamestop exclusive but I saw that they were selling a bundle with that game for $350 I believe.
Nintendo needs to seriously improve the online, add an achievements system, put out more must own games and lower the price before I will even consider buying one. That shit is a current gen system. It should not be more than $250.Comment

One thing I haven't pointed out about the Wii U is that the commercials they air for the thing only seem to be on Cartoon network and Nickelodeon. And most people seem to still not know the difference between a Wii and Wii U.Comment
