      There is a difference...

      PS4 is $100 cheaper.

          1. I've spent probably about $5000-$5500 on gaming this generation. That 1.8% difference for $100 start up cost effects me none. Plus, I really want the Kinect as I will utilize it almost every single day of the entire generation.

          2. If you don't want to be spied on, turn off your smartphone and your laptop. In fact, turn off all your electronic devices and never go outside or near a window. Or better yet, just turn the kinect off

I didn't think that was an option? I thought it had to be constantly plugged in and connected?

It can be turned off whenever you want. There are zero restrictions against it and it does not effect non-kinect related activities in any way.

That's good. When did they change that?

I don't think it was ever policy that it had to be on at all times. I think it was just a rumor that MS did not debunk and it caught on. Although if it was policy for a short time, I'm sure once the DRM policy was switched, the same happened with Kinect considering they officially confirmed the ability to turn it off after the 180 turn if I remember correctly.

There are articles from May saying it can be turned off...think it's a lack of MS getting the msg out. That was from a quick google search, so it might be wrong but the majority of forum posts, show people still think that it has to be on...right or wrong.

Still need to purchase their adapter for them to work.

MS upgraded their inputs so you don't get echos, screeching, interference, etc. With that, they needed a new input so you will need an adapter.
