Through the Sun and Storms | The Daytona Beach Falcons
After a tough summer of grueling 2-A-Days and non stop classes, two players have emerged as the leaders for their respected side of the ball. On the offensive side is True Freshman Starting QB, Airik Aldridge. His precision passing and natural leadership skills deemed him fit enough to carry the Captain status. This kid will be great. For the Defense we have Junior "Miscue-22" as his teammates call him. Dexter McPherson is not only a shutdown corner, but also has a tremendous tackling ability. These two student-athletes are helping shape this Falcon team for hopefully a successful first season. Go Falcons.
Kyle Hadley looks for holes as he rushes his way to 120 yards.
Nick Harvey, the FB, prances in for an easy receiving TD.
Ethan Woy makes the defender look like a fool on this TD catch.
Summary:
Man if the start of this game was ANY indication of what is to come, not only for the season, but for the schools up and coming seasons, then the Daytona State Falcons are in for some trouble.
With a 97 yard kick return touchdown CJ Spiller knew he'd have a good game. "I just felt something click after I scored that KR TD. And I was just ready to roll the whole game'. Spiller finished with 130 yards and a TD.
With at least 2 TD's scored in 3 of the 4 quarters, the Clemson Tigers were always in a very comfortable lead over the Falcons. Although late in the 3rd quarter as well as beginning to mid 4th, the Falcons starting a comeback charge lead by star Freshman RB Kyle Hadley. It was just too little too late though and the Falcons suffer a tough loss to start the school football program and season.
Next week DSC plays 0-1 Memphis and the whole team will be working hard to come back strong.
