The only thing with Zito if you want to keep it realistic is his contract. I think it's like a 7year/$126 mil deal that's still got 4ish years left on it. Not many teams are gonna take that contract up.

I was also thinking about trying to get Zito outta SF and some bullpen help, nothing special just some help.

I looked at it this way Zito is doing SFA in the Bay and if they can move him i bet the would.

What would be fair to give up.

I wasn't sure who Ryan Raburn was, that's why I didn't answer. If he's at least a C potential prospect then I say go for it, get something for Rolen while you can.

Mike Lowell is going to be out another month in my chise and his replacements Lowrie/Green are batting in the low .100s. I am not looking to make a blockbuster trade just one where I can acquire someone who can be a starter until Lowell gets back. Can be 1B or 3B. Any Ideas n who I could get?

What about signing a free agent like Ray Durham, Mark Grudzielanek, or Mike Lamb and have them ply third. Would like to hold off on making any major deals till the trade deadline.

My man Eric O'Flaherty. Seriously. In my Braves 'chise the man has gone his first 13.2 innings without giving up a single run and has struck out 10. He's a lefty that throws 92-93 with a really good out-pitch slider. Check him out, great 7th or 8th inning guy.
