So you can see a good thing when it smacks you in the face?

The writing is too well done for it to be bad.

Stop acting like you stumbled onto a goldmine - it was received very well critically. Also, this movie did insanely well at the box office, making almost $100 million back.

Yea, but I was hyping it up before it even came out. But, you're probably right, but before the movie came out, the trailer was not well received at all, even people on these boards said it looked generic.

I loved the attention to minor detail (people like Terrence Long and Barry Zito having no role but meandering about the lockerroom), but hated that they pretended Jeremy Giambi was a new acquisition, and hated that Hill played a fictional composite of several people. But 99% of the audience wouldn't notice or care about any of that.

The movie had no dramatic peaks for anyone who follows baseball, but I would imagine the 99% of everyone else found some drama in whether the team would ultimately win the World Series, or if Beane would take the Red Sox job.
I'm probably the only dork in the entire theater who got excited when he saw Olmedo Sainz listed on the dry erase board behind Brad Pitt's head.

I won't kill them for the Jonah Hill character. If DePodesta didn't want them to use his name, not much they can do. They could have said FU and done it anyway but apparently he was otherwise supportive and cooperative of the production so they decided to oblige.

As for the Giambi thing, all they really had to say in that scene where they are discussing the new acquisitions was "we also plan to give Jeremy some more playing time" or something like that, instead of making it seem like he was on their shopping list. The scene loses no meaning and it's actually historically accurate.

Such a weird goof for a movie to knowingly include.

Crazy Stupid Love was phenomenal, it has been my second most anticipated leak this year behind Fast Five. Saw both in theatres, so pumped that I just found out CSL leaked 2 days ago.

Watched this two nights ago always a fan of the series, thought it was very entertaining and exactly what I expected maybe a little more.

Actually about halfway through this movie I told the person I was with that I thought Jill was one of the killers just because it's always who you expect the least and she seemed to be at the scene of multiple murders. Didn't guess the other guy, just knew it obviously wasn't the boyfriend because they made him so suspicious.

Anybody see this movie? Caught the last forty minutes or so of it and it seemed pretty good. Or maybe it was just because of my first time infatuation with the pale goddess of Emma Roberts. Didn't like the main role but Galinafakis was funny. Probably for a younger crowd but I think I'm gonna watch in full sometime soon.

The reason I watched this movie, and part of the reason I'm going to watch Scream 4.

Good stuff. About a group of high school friends moving on with life, each of the main stars went on to have great careers. Deals with issues ranging from marriage, growing up, gambling, family, etc.

Fuck me right, watched Scream three hours hours after IKoaFS and had no clue that that was Emma Roberts in Scream. Thought she was hotter as a whatever color her hair was in IKoaFS but still can't believe I didn't put two and two together.
