Moon - ***3/4 Stars.
No amount of blustery soundtracks (i.e., Inception Foghorn), special effects or CGI can beat solid character acting and a tight story.
Also, if you ever want an excuse as to why you should never sign up to work for a faceless corporation in the near future, film would be it.Comment

I Saw the Devil - Yet another good Korean film in the Netflix streaming library.Comment

8 1/2 is as close to a perfect movie as it gets for me. I don't want to try to pinpoint everything I like about it, there is just virtually nothing that I feel I have the right to dislike about it. It just resonates perfectly with me every time I watch it.Comment

As for business, the guy is money. Practically every film he's been a main star in the past decade has made money or been a blockbuster.
Road to Perdition (made $180 million+)
Catch Me If You Can (made $350 million+)
The Terminal (made $200 million+)
The Ladykillers (made $75 million+)
The Polar Express (made $300 million+)
The DaVinci Code (made $750 million+)
Charlie Wilson's War (made $115 million+)
Angels & Demons (made $480 million+)
Toy Story 3 (made over $1 billion)
Larry Crowne (made $68 million)
Extremely Loud (made $47 million to date)
Not the best quality of movies on that list (aside from Toy Story 3….I've heard the Catch Me If You Can one was good) though.

Quality wise, you're right. Balances out to a below average decade for Hanks.
Road to Perdition (made $180 million+) - brilliant
Catch Me If You Can (made $350 million+) - brilliant
The Terminal (made $200 million+) - trash
The Ladykillers (made $75 million+) - one of the worst movies ever made
The Polar Express (made $300 million+) - creepy
The DaVinci Code (made $750 million+) - terrible
Charlie Wilson's War (made $115 million+) - mediocre
Angels & Demons (made $480 million+) - terrible
Toy Story 3 (made over $1 billion) - depressing
Larry Crowne (made $68 million) - pathetic
Extremely Loud (made $47 million to date) - patheticComment

They were good. I'm not a movie reviewer.

Cars 2 - Obvious cash grab is obvious. Ain't even mad though...if Pixar needs to do the occasional one of thse to get more flicks like UP then more power to them. A rare miss, unfortunately.Comment
