I thought that was just a figure of speech? As in only the governor can pardon someone so that's why he said "The governor called..."

I'm pretty sure it was meant to have that double meaning to get people excited.

It is. But it was also an easter egg type of deal for people who have read the comics as "The Governor" is a pretty big character that is going to be involved in the story very soon based on how the show is headed.

I mean, I can get every single one of them on my iPad but at a cost. Just want to know the best way to read the full series. I can't wait for Season 3.
I borrowed all of them from one of my brothers. He bought all of them at a comic store.

That's all well and good, but how many people would get that? I would guess that maybe half the viewers of the show have read the comics? That may be generous. I know I haven't.

As far as the comics/graphic novels are concerned, my sergeant lent me six hard cover books. I have yet to read them. Do they cover the entire story arc or are there more?

The point of the "easter egg" or foreshadowing is that it doesn't have to be apparent to the entire audience. It's just a little something cool tossed in for the hardcores. The casual fans aren't missing out or anything.

You should read them. While you can get some of the bigger points from the show, there is a reason why the comics were so popular that they made a show from it. I wouldn't say that are better or worse than the show because different people like different stuff, but they are different and that can be a good thing.

If you have six hardcovers, that is the first 36 comics. In comparison, the show is about on the 12th comic and covers about six per season. You could basically see ahead to season six, although I think they will start condensing soon.

Ok, but what I was really trying to find out is if those books cover every comic that has been released thus far or have there been new ones since?

First, those six hardcovers are actually 72 books, not 36. I mixed up the paperbacks and hardcovers. The paperback tradebooks have 6 issues per, the hardcovers have 12.

Right now, there are 94 issues of the comic. You won't have all of them, but you will have a sizeable amount that should last you a while.

so is it airborne or the knife/scratch that turned randall and shane (shane infected himself with the knife used to cut his hand in the bus after it being used to kill a zombie, and in turn his infected blood came in contact with randalls cuts on his wrists from the handcuffs.)

This is why I didn't mind the women's drama, they're the only ones who can put her in her place.

I was of the understanding that whenever anyone dies, they become a zombie, regardless of if he came in contact with a zombie.
