Not happy losing 2 out of 3, but getting 1 win was big. Still hold a 7 game lead over the Dead Birds. This pretty much sums up the fact the Reds have to have a massive collapse to not take the division. Also, keep in mind St. Louis has NO OFF DAYS the rest of the year.

-If the Reds play .500 ball the rest of the way, St. Louis would have to go 21-7 the remainder of the season to catch Cincy

I think it's laughable we can take two of three from the Reds and can't take two of three from the Pirates. What a fucking joke.

its a combination of the Cards getting up for the Reds and the Reds inability to win against teams with Winnings Records. What is good for the Reds in terms of the rest of the season is they do not play many more series vs teams with winning records, 4 vs Colorado and 3 vs San Diego.

Its also because LaRussa puts all his eggs in the Reds basket. Four times this year he jerked around his rotation so his 1-2-3 would face Cincy. It screws up the routine of 4 days off, and it means the Jeff Suppans and Kyle Lohses start the games before & after the Reds series, leveling the playing field with the bad teams.

For example, tonigvht he has Westbrook vs Gallardo. Advantage Milwaukee. Then, he sends out Suppan or Lohse on Tuesday. Again, advantage Milwaukee.

LaRussa is such a great baseball mind though, he's a genius, a transcendent mind of the game.

Down to 6 games. Reds played terrible today left a ton of runners on base.

Up 4-0, they left the bases loaded three times, and failed to score 1st & third with no outs.

Aaron Harang has no business starting for this team anymore. He had two chances, he's finished. Sam LeCure, Matt Maloney, Mike Leake off the DL, Volquez, I don't care who. Harang needs to finish up the season as the mop up man, and be left off the postseason roster. Thanks for the solid 6 or 7 years, but your done buddy.

The Rockies are going on that september run again

You can't do anything about it even if you wanted to

lol, they had Jimenez down 4-0 and if the Reds had someone other than Harang out there, they wouldn't have come back, not to mention all the blown opportunites, so I would say the Reds lost more than the Rockies won that game
