I'd do something with Wood, but not the other two. I still think Wood will probably be better than Leake, though. Bailey has the best stuff of the three and is awesome when he is healthy. But staying healthy has been an issue.Comment

I just glanced at his numbers. The walks are down from earlier in the year, so that's encouraging. I don't think its a huge upgrade from Leake. Don't get me wrong, I'll take him. I'd do Wood or any package of minor leaguers. Not sure about Leake or Bailey AND more.Comment

His road stats are: 2.28 ERA, only 1 HR allowed, batters are batting .155, 0.90 WHIP, .215 BABIP and a 2.33 FIP (55.1 IP). I think he is better than the Red pitchers with "upside". Personally I would give up whatever prospects the Rockies wanted for him, but I highly doubt the Phillies would make an offer.
When you're the Reds, you need to have these good young players like Leake & Wood who are under team control and cost very little for four more seasons.Comment

Dodgers acquired OF Juan Rivera from the Blue Jays for a player to be named later or cash considerations.
The Dodgers also acquired cash in the deal. The Jays took on Rivera's $5.25 million salary this offseason in order to unload Vernon Wells' bloated contract on the Angels, but grew frustrated over the course of the first half and DFA'd Rivera last week. The 33-year-old outfielder has batted just .176 since June 16 and is hitting only .243 on the year with a .666 OPS. It also doesn't help that he's been a butcher in the outfield. With the Dodgers, expect him to be used against left-handed pitchers, a platoon role he should acclimate well to.Comment

^^^That's a no-brainer. If you are the Mets and you could get Brown for Beltran - of course you take it.
I would be shocked if this were an actual possibility though.Maddon & Friedman: Pissing off the AL East since 2008
