Harold Reynolds: "I have a tough time putting Jose Bautista on the top 10 (current players) when he's never been on a playoff team."

        Immediately after: "kershaw!" :jizz:

          My god Harold Reynolds.

The last thing we need in baseball are these goofy "hes not a winner!" arguments that kill QB and NBA discussion.

Joey Bats is among the top 5 in the game right now. Period.

I could make a novel out of this thread just by all the bad statements that Moneyman made last year during the playoffs.

I'm not seeing the connection between these two, unless you're just pointing out that they're from the say guy.

No they're not exactly alike. But Kershaw certainly wasn't the ace of that Dodger playoff team, he was a rookie, no? They got there largely because of the merits of other players. Which to me it is kind of ridiculous to fault Bautista for not playing the playoffs, while ignoring the fact that the Dodgers have been pretty bad, or at least mediocre at best over the time that Kershaw has developed into an ace. I mean they were a .500 team with the Cy Young winner, and the player that most people here think should have been MVP. So why isn't Reynolds faulting Kershaw (and Kemp for that matter) for that?

Bottom line is individual players don't make or break a team, so it's ridiculous to judge them by team success.

Kershaw went to the NLCS twice (though he only threw two innings the first time). I get that Harold Reynolds is a tard and as a matter of fact, I completely agree. I just think that skeeting over Kershaw isn't exactly a bad baseball statement.

                      He's nothing without Manny #haroldreynold'snarrative.

And I don't think jizzing over Bautista is a bad thing either. The point being both players have had amazing seasons, without team success to show for it. Despite that similarity they were treated very differently by Reynold's, hence the bad baseball statement.
