You say he should focus on Denver, but then say he should talk to the Knicks about waiting to sign him? That sounds like giving up on the Nuggets to me.

    Pretty much this.

Totally agree here, Melo has been nothing but play hard and conduct himself professionaly... He really could have thrown in the towel after his sister died, but sucked it up, played hard and earned a starting spot in the all star game.

As a Nuggets fan I wish him the best! He really impressed me with his play and attitude this year.

I think Dave should stick to watching hockey...

There has definitely been nights where Melo has look distracted, but come on.. the guy is only human. For the most part hes come to work every day with the right attitude, and has quite frankly said all the right things in the media too. I dont think Melo could handle the situation any better then he has.

@Chris_Broussard Sources say NJ in talks w/Den to send 2 1st round picks to Den for Mozgov & either Gallinari, Chandler or Felton, if Melo traded to NYK

            lol indeed

Denver is only going to trade Felton if they get him but what does Jersey need another starting PG for?

If Jersey could get Mozgov and Gallo...that'd be sweet for them.

Damn I was kind of excited about Gallo and Mozgov too.... I mean Denver is going to need a big man next year, its almost certain KMart will be gone.

Felton is def a good player but doesn't fit here with Lawson, can't start both. Plus were going to need to replace Anthony at SF. Gallo could fit there but is going to need to score a hella of lot more!

The scary thing is JRs in the last year of his contract too. If you took Melo, JR and KMart off this team to start next year you almost need Gallo and Mozgov just to stay competive.

Felton will def be trade bait.

                Racist my ass.
If Anthony were white and pulling this crap, I'd be saying the same thing.
Why is it when a white guy dogs a black athlete, he's suddenly a racist?
I think Sean Avery of the Rangers is a fucking asshole, same as Matt Cooke for the Penguins.

And don't say none of this is on Anthony.

                Asshole behaviour is asshole behaviour.
I don't diss Albert Haynesworth because he's black, I diss him because he's a lazy fuckwad who signed a $100 million deal.

Probably because you like Hockey, lol! jk

Anyway, I don't think people understand why you feel such a Hatred for Melo. He's really not doing anything other athletes haven't done before and he's actually playing hard every night. The poor guy had every excuse in the world to let his play drop off, but he didn't...

Personally I think the media is the one over blowing things. If this was being conducted behind closed doors without all the media coverage i don't see how anyone could hate on Anthony.

For the Knicks' sake, I hope they lose the Carmelo lottery. It would be better for them as a team.

Hell, if he was a real team guy, he'd tell the Knicks - "Don't give fuck all up for me, I'll sign for whatever in the off-season and sacrifice max dollars."

Of course that would require putting the team above the individual ... something Carmelo clearly has an issue with.

Give James, Wade and Bosh this - they made financial sacrifices for their experiment. Maybe Anthony should do the same. Even better, maybe he should play his ass off for Denver and try to get that team into the playoffs.
I don't know what basketball games you've been watching, but Melo's been playing hard all season. Plus his teammates love and have nothing bad to say about the guy. And finally Melo ignoring this and waiting till the off season would not help Denver at all... Neither the Nuggets or Anthony want that.

JR has said he would love to come back and keep playing for the Nuggets, also, arent you forgetting Chandler? He could start at SF

I thought it was a fore gone conclusion he would be trade bait like Felton. I always felt like Chandler would fit in off the bench or at the guard better. I think Gallo is a more fitting replacement at SF.

So much conflicting stuff out there, it's as if "sources" are just fucking with writers.

-Nets are out of the trade talks.

-Nets are not out of the trade talks.

-Melo will let Nets know today whether he'll ever agree to sign with them.

-George Karl prefers the Knicks offer while the Front Office prefers the Nets offer

-Denver's front office doesn't like Gallo but would use him and Mozgov to get picks

                        blah blah blah

so, back when Donnie Walsh was hired and Dolan announced that he had FULL Autonomy, I hope Walsh didnt actually take him ay his word...

after Dolan's rehiring of Isiah Thomas as special consultant[before the NBA stepped in and saved Dolan from himself], Isiah himself being rumored to be 70% of the unamed sources to be leaking info about the knicks/Melo tlks, and Dolan taking the reigns of the Melo negotiations away from Donnie Walsh; It's pretty much a guarentee that Donnie Walsh will Not be with New York Knicks next season....

Which is upsetting, four years ago Walsh came on board to clean up a joke of a franchise and has gotten the knicks out of Salary cap hell and built up a nice young core with Amare Stoudamire as the center piece with cap space to spare. He's done a hell of a job considering the circumstances and so far it's been a thankless performance b/c his rebuilding isnt complete just yet and the clueless owner is intent on handing the reigns of the franchise back to the Man who turned it into a cesspool in the 1st place.
