But you didn't have the guts to bump it until the last three games.

Manning could play awful the rest of the year, throw on some Wranglers, get rejected by a woman half his age, whip out his tiny cock, and nothing would change. Everyone declines at some point.

Meh, it could have been bumped several times this season. As much as I like Manning, I just do not think he is the GOAT. He got the MVP last year based solely on the sportswriters love for him over a much more deserving Drew Brees or even Favre for that matter.

Manning will end up as a top 5 QB to ever play the game and that is pretty damn good but the last few weeks show that even he is not going to be able to escape getting older and less productive on the field. There's no shame in being a first ballot HoF QB but I don't think Manning will ever pass Montana as the true GOAT.

This was one of my favorite sports threads. I read through the first 20 pages. I'd love to pick it up during the Super Bowl.

I don't understand that last point. Nobody escapes age.

Also, it might be a bit too soon to write him off. The fact that a few bad games has people doing so just shows how great he is. The guy hasn't had a bad stretch of games since 1998.

So the media loves Manning more than they love Favre/Brees?

Manning is still the GOAT. Give him an actual running game, a better OL and WRs slightly better than Blair "Chalky" White, and then see if his age has caught up with him. It's not like his brain got dumber, he just doesn't have the help on the perimeter to make plays for him like he's used to.

Not having Joseph Addai hurts this team twofold because Addai is great at blitz pick-ups.

Manning is still the GOAT, one bad 3-game stretch doesn't erase that.

Montana=overrated is not the GOAT IMO.

                    Unitas is.

Peyton is second at this point.

Manning is "less productive this year" keeping in mind he's had a bad three game stretch due to him throwing to largley 4th string WR's, having no running game and young running backs and a declining offensive line.

isn't this two straight games with 4 picks?

tsk tsk peyton... Brady took the Patriots to an AFC Championship game with Reche Caldwell and Jabar Gaffney at #1 and #2... just sayin, can the colts even make the playoffs if they continue to play this poorly?

Manning still leads the league in completions, attempts, yards, and is still completing 66% of his passes.

The Colts as a team are having a down season.

The defense is ranked near the bottom third of the league.

The Colts offense is still ranked in the top 5 depsite having the 32nd ranked running game. .....think about that for a second.....think about what that means Manning is doing for this offense and team as a whole.

He also had the 12th ranked running game and the 2nd ranked defense in the league that season.

                          Nice try dipshit.

You know how you cunts used to say that Drew Brees threw his team out of games when it was crunch time? Well how in the fuck you give Manning a pass. Use the same logic that you use on every other QB. Don't make excuses for the man considered G.O.A.T. JTC is right. Brady did go to the AFC championship game with JABAR FUCKING GAFFNEY AND RECHE CALDWELL. Don't deflect the blame. You all want to give all the success to the QB now is the time to give the blame to the QB.

As firsttimer said, Brady had a good running game and a great defense behind him. The Colts defense just gave up 38 points to a Jon Kitna led offense. Yes Jon Kitna, the guy who has trouble throwing 15 yard routes.

Manning brought them back into the game yesterday as much as he threw them out of it. He was also one recovered fumble away from bringing his team back to victory. Did you not see the 2 minute drive he put together to tie the game?

Its not his fault in OT Reggie Wayne dropped a 3rd down pass that hit him in the chest. The last interception he threw was just a good play by Jenkins who left his guy and tipped the ball into Sean Lee's hands.

He had 2 god awful interceptions yesterday and 2 that were good plays by the Dallas defense. The first interception could have been pulled down by Wayne but it was just ripped away.

Yeah, because that's what we are doing. We aren't looking at the players and teams in context of how good they were or what they did well.

                                STFU dipshit.

This will be the first season since 2002 where Manning and the Colts haven't won 12 games. LOL at comparing him to Brees "throwing his team out of game".
