no one is saying it wasn't a bad day but the 280 is still 280. You never see that kind of production when getting beat that bad.

...that's the other thing about SBs..theres been 48 and you still hear" that's the first time ever for this or that thing/stat/occurrence happening...fastest first points scored...shortest QB to win one LOL

This is a product of the media looking for trivial storylines that might interest the public.

not the stats part dude. I am also talking about on the field,in-game stuff. Fastest points scored doesn't need the media push

There's a lot of stuff that does, though. Shortest QB to win a SB? Nobody cared until the analysts brought it up.

So what's the consensus on Peyton's legacy going into this season? He is going to break Favre's TD record by the end of October unless something goes horribly wrong

Numero 2 behind Montana...same as it was last year.

He's the best of all time, IMO.

Funny thing is even if he throws for 5k yards and 50+ TDs the guys that think Montana is better than him will still put him behind Montana, even if he does win the Super Bowl.

So now that Manning has passed Favre, is he heading to 600 before he retires?

It depends on how long he wants to play. I would say 575 isn't out of the question.

He plays 2 more seasons he will get it easily. He probably finishes somewhere between 535 and 540 this season.

I say his limit is 2 more seasons, if he wins a superbowl he's out.

To be the best you have to beat the best. Greatest regular season QB of all time noone will dispute but can't go letting snaps fly past you and throwing backbreaking INTs 2 out of your 3 biggest games.

I guess when I really sit back and think about it, I can't really say who the greatest QB of all time is. You can't argue it isnt Montana, Favre, Elway, Manning, Brady... I will go with a 5 way tie.
