That is bad postseason play for Favre post '96...
Enough is enough. Peyton Manning is the greatest QB of all time.

And none of those excuse those playoff game ending ints from your GOAT HOF QB. Make all the excuses you want to try and dismiss Brett's poor decisions at the most crucial times, but it still doesn't take away those poor decisions.
How many times do I have to say that I DON'T blame Favre alone for the playoff losses. He didn't lose those games on his own. What we should be blaming Brett is for those horrible decisions and playoff game ending ints that ended any chance of GB winning those playoff games. That's not unfair, it's just accurate.Comment

1 bad game in 1962 in NY, but nobody was passing that day with 25 MPH winds according to profootballreference.com.

Starr was phenomenal in the playoffs.Comment

I've got to be honest, I knew he only played in 1 playoff loss, but I wasn't sure what I would find when I pulled his stats. Unreal for any timeframe, much less the 1960's..Comment

Both of you have a point, not sure why you're arguing against each other.
The Packers had other factors to why they didn't win more championships with Favre, but part of Favre's legacy is the pick sixes.
His last two trips to the NFC title game have been marred by dumb INT's. This entire season has been nothing but interceptions, how many ended a game?
A question that's usually asked in GOAT QB debates, is if you had 80 yards and 2 minutes to play, which QB do you take?
You'd have to be a complete fucking moron to take Brett Favre in this spot. There's at least 10 QB's that come to mind I would take in this spot before even considering Favre.
Smart, clutch QB play is not his strong suit, yet is vital to winning, which is everything in football.Comment

I don't put Brett top 5 All Time. Close to Top Ten All Time. Of all the QB's that have played in the NFL, that's awfully impressive. I just can not rate Brett nearly as high as you seem to.Comment

I would have Brett in the top 2 All Time even with GB losing those playoff games if Brett didn't have those playoff ints. And the playoff game ending ints go beyond the two NFCC games.Comment

Bart Starr...
Although I think you are vastly overrating Starr in regards to where he ranks all time.Comment

I watched both play, and it's hard to argue against Starr's stellar playoff performances.Comment

.. despite vast man-love, I can still be objective.
Still, top 10ish (or 7-ish) ALL TIME is pretty damn good. And that he had the season he had last year at 40 is amazing.
Though I still rate Starr above Favre.Comment

That's fine that you have that opinion. I strongly believe you have vastly underrated Starr. I think we can both agree that he was an all time great, like we can agree that Butkus(spelling?) was an all time great.
