I don't know, but perception is reality with pro athletes. But I'll list a few of the things that contribute to this perception.

    1. Engages in shouting matches with opposing QBs from the sideline
    2. Once had his father complain to coaching staff about his OL in college
    3. Is dating a spoiled, annoying rich bitch (birds of a feather and all that)
    4. His mic'd up segment was full of douchey soundbites

Obviously there are worse people in the world. He's not a blight on society or anything, but to outside observers his behavior comes across as immature and unlikable. I am going to make fun of him for disappearing in the biggest game of his career just like I made fun of LaDainian Tomlinson for doing the same.

Ok...Cool, like or dislike who you want. I was just curious, but for me.

      1. Shouting at a QB from the sideline is very entertaining. Do more of it. Dont people like trash talk? I do
      2. I knew of this, but im still sure if he asked his father to do it for him.
      3. I thought all white girls were rich and spoiled. Hell, every white girl I dated was.
      4. Matter of opinion, sounded fine, maybe dry to me.

Ill only really disagree with you on the disappearing thing. Norv pulled LT cuz he wasnt helping the team. Lovie pulled Jay cuz he felt Jay couldnt help the team.

You know you watch too much ESPN when you base how good a QB is on the emotions he shows...

He wanted to come back in and play, but the Doctors said no. He has a torn ligament, and couldn't put pressure on his foot.

Doctors made the call because of his future. No point of having him go out there and hurt his knee and possibly hurting his career.
Stop trying to back up your shitty QB, a sprain is almost nothing, it hurts and you can't cut well, but I've played through hat injury in fucking flag football for crying out loud, and that isn't nearly as important as an NFL conference championship game. Granted flag football obviously doesn't have the same level of contact. And for him to be in so much pain but ride a bike, SWITCH directions and legs that he was limping on (watch the game again and you will notice) jump up and down when they scored thinking he was getting bailed out and to completely look to be ignoring Caleb Hanie on the sidelines when the kid obviously could of used some help is what this is about. Cutler knew he was blowing it, playing horrible and was going to be the reason the Bears lost, so sitting out was his option, they even said Cutler didn't know what play or when he even got hurt, it could of supposedly happened in the first drive, but he somehow played like his shitty self up until he took himself out.

That's a good point. There are 4-5 Bears fans who think Cutler did nothing wrong/it was a good choice/etc... then there are more Bear fans and everybody else who see and know what was wrong with this situation, those 4-5 guys need to take off the homer shades or they will continue to be disappointed by Jay Cutler for the rest of his career.

To be honest I think going to the locker room would've spared him a lot of the criticism he got.

Because riding on that exercise bike, sitting on the sidelines doing nothing, then standing on his injured knee surely didn't help his cause at all.

He goes back to the locker room and for all we know he's unable to even put weight on his knee.

Homer is a term that relates to the overall team. Not 1 player.

Backing up a player who was already playing bad, yet people wanted him to KEEP PLAYING THROUGH AN INJURY? Are you kidding me? To a swarming defense that was #2 in the league.

Cutler was playing like shit and people wanted him to stay in? Get the fuck out of here lmao. What kind of ignorant shit is that. The same injury sidelined Troy Polamalu for 3-6 weeks just last season. If Cutler is going to be a pussy, at least he'll be in good company.

It's a fucking sprain. How anyone can defend Cutler for not playing through this is beyond me. I understand that the severity of the sprain matters, but come on people. If I'm a Bears fan, I'm not sticking up for Cutler, I'm asking for a trade today.

Can't really question the guys toughness after playing behind that o-line all year but I think its clear that Cutler is mentally weak and is not a leader shame all he needs is a little bit of that arrogant prick Phillip Rivers in him.

He has a Level 2 MCL Sprain, which is still a tear. It's just the terminology used medically.

I'm sorry but if Drew Brees, Phil Rivers, Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger or most other starting QBs were in the same situation they would be at the very least supporting their team as they were making the big plays to get their team closer to the Super Bowl.

I loved when Chris Meyers pointed out that we saw our first smile from Jay Cutler after the Urlacher INT. Yeah, he smiled, there's your franchise QB and the leader of your team.
Dont know if you know, but Caleb said Jay helped him out immensely yesterday. Maybe just maybe we shouldnt rely on 3 second cut aways. Just a thought.

The majority of Bears fans are fucking Idiots. But a sprain is almost nothing? Didnt know you were a doctor. I once cut my nuts off a ran a mile in a tag football game. Lol.

Its a valid argument, BUT do you remember when Cedric Benson hurt his knee in a game and went to the locker room. He got absolutely murdered in Chicago for being a awful teammate. It never sat right with some players, and especially fans.

A sprain is a tear. I don't care that you played on a sprain in your shitty flag football league. Your not a million dollar Franchise quarterback. Your a wigger that posts on a message board.

Who said he wasn't helping Hanie? He had a earpiece in the whole game. Hanie said in his post game that Cutler was instructing him and helping him out. You base your shit off two things that FOX showed. Yes, the same FOX that ruled Cutler "Questionable" when he was ruled "OUT" by trainers and Lovie Smith. When a trainer and coach rules you out, your not going back in. You should know that. Let's tear your MCL and let you play a half of football and get tackled. Yeah, I don't think you would.

You can question Culters toughness all you want. Watch Bears games then talk. The kid gets his ass whooped every game behind that offensive line. Sacked 52 times this year, and has missed 1 game in his career. That's tough.

Yes, Cutler wasn't playing great. But he wasn't the reason they were losing. Penalties that set up bad field position for the Bears, and play calling was horrible.

Mark Sanchez is loving Cutler right now. Instead of him being berated for not caring about the AFC Championship and whiping boogers on his teammates on the sidelines, we're talking about Jay Cutler.

Mark Sanchez got fucking killed by James Harrison, gave the Steelers a touchdown and a 24 point lead, and then stayed in the game and led his team back on the road to almost a victory against the most violent defense in the NFL.

Jay Cutler bumped his knee, took a seat on the bench, and tucked his dick inbetween his legs like a fucking pussy when his team needed him most at home and only down by 2 scores.

You Bears fans are really something else sticking up for this guy. I can't even believe it to be honest. Guy fucking quits in the NFC Championship and you guys are sticking up for him.

This is why I will always have respect for a guy like Favre. Not the smartest guy or a nice guy or whatever but the guy was fucking tough and would have to be dragged off the field kicking and screaming in the NFC Championship game. You'd literally have to cut his leg off for him not to go back in that game.
