I think Scott VaPelt used the words BloodHound Eyes. and he is defending Cutler and saying bears fans and other players should be ashamed of themselves for acting this way.
Just because Rivers did it, doesnt make it right or mean every player should do.Comment

Well i just thought most of us were past that age where we just hate somebody for no reason. Forgive me for asking, but why do you hate him so much? And why do people feel the need to "like" players?Comment

Bears coach Lovie Smith referred Monday to Jay Cutler's left knee injury as an "MCL sprain."
Said Smith in response to criticism of Cutler for missing most of the second half of Sunday's NFC Championship Game, "If you're going to attack someone, you should be attacking me." Smith is referring to the coaches' decision to sit Cutler after his knee was unstable against the Packers. Still, an MCL "sprain" sounds like the least possible form of a partial tear in terms of severity. Cutler shouldn't need offseason surgery.
Atleast his coach has his back.Comment

A homer constitute defending your team, at no point have I defended a team or even brought up my god damn team. They got their asses beat.
I am just pointing out Polamalu had the same injury as Cutler and you're trying to bring hypothetical situations into it....LOL
Hypotheticals = you already lost. This isn't high school.Comment

Same reason I don't like Philip Rivers. Same reason I don't like Brett Favre. Same reason I don't like LeBron. I don't wish harm on any of them, it doesn't affect me in the slightest unless they beat my team. But it's not like I'm going to empathize with them either. Sport is theater. Some characters are likable, some aren't.Comment

I don't hate him, he's just a guy to me. But I'm not gonna like him either. Do I really need to explain it? He's just not a likable guy. Cocky, spoiled, petulant, bratty, overrated, etc.

Big difference there is that Polomalu and Leftwich missed their time in the regular season, not in the biggest game of the year. You can afford to sit out a few games here or there in the regular season when you play for a team like the Steelers. They tend to make up ground rather quickly. When you're one game away from the Super Bowl, you do everything you can to win. If that means taking a hit that completely blows out your fucking knee, you stay in the game. If it means cutting off a section of your finger (Ronnie Lott), you do it to help the team. You don't stand around on the sideline like a fucking idiot and let the 3rd string quarterback show the team they don't need you.Comment

I think you're forgetting the Chargers were without LT for that game too.
Regardless of prep time and all that stuff, he still played on a torn ACL and risked his career for his team.
The one thing I don't get is why Cutler was standing around on the sidelines for the whole second half? Was it just because he wanted to watch or something?
Can you imagine the outcry if he didn't even come back to the sidelines for the second half?Comment

That same player when he played for the Steelers tore his MCL and missed playing time and didn't play through his MCL tear.
What is your point?

Those players that played with the injury also took a Cortisone shot to stay in the game. Cutler is a diabetic, giving a cortisone shot to a diabetic is almost like a death sentence.Comment
