its all because of a preseption people have. they are saying he was up jumping when they scored. Well yeah, you can stand up and cheer, hop, jump whatever on a torn MCL. Try doing a 5 step drop and planting and tell me how that works out or cut and scramble while mathews is chasing you.

Now if this comes out clean whichI doubt it will, they'll report it as a "sever spain" atleast to save face all over.

Me personally I dont think he quit. His "fuck you" swagger wouldnt allow it.

Chris Harris just called Maurice Jones-Drew out on SportsCenter... He said not playing in the final two Jags games when they were still in the hunt for the playoffs and then turning around to call out Cutler was the pot calling the kettle black... He is right, people need to STFU til everything is final, otherwise you risk looking like a retard... Olin Kreutz was near Cutler when the medical staff was checking out his knee, and he said he saw Cutler's knee "wobble in an unnatural way when they were testing it", so I seriously doubt Cutler quit on his team...

Jay Cutler has a MCL tear in his left knee, according to beat writer Sean Jensen.
The Bears are apparently still determining the grade of his tear. MCL injuries are not nearly as severe as ACL tears, but can still limit mobility and a quarterback's ability to plant his foot. Still, if the injury does not require surgery, Cutler is going to be even more vilified than he already is. Cutler will be hard-pressed to escape a suddenly "soft" re

Whats the difference between heart and quit? The kid tore his MCL, and wait.....he even tried playing on it again. Thats not heart? The team pulled him, im sure surgery is needed, but im no doctor.

A torn MCL is not that severe of an injury at all. I have a few friends that played through torn MCL's in high school.

Obviously, it depends on the severity of the tear, but from my experience it is an injury that you can play through.

                This

I laugh how all these couch potatoes that have never played football are questioning his heart/toughness/manhood for what he did, especially when he TRIED to play through it in the 3rd quarter... I laugh even more when SportsCenter shows Bears fans burning Cutler jersey's... People are fucking retarded...

I respectfully disagree. There is a difference between kids, and full grown freaks of nature running you down.

To me its not a matter of playing. Its playing WELL. Which he wasnt already doing, and again, with the way the line was playing. Jay was running for his life. Him running for his life on a bad knee would not have ended well.

The Chicago Sun Times is reporting that Cutler's MRI showed a torn MCL this morning. That is a serious enough injury to justify leaving the game but I doubt he will ever recover from the perception that he threw in the towel on his team at the time they needed him the most.

First things first, I played in a game with a torn PCL and ACL, and it is true that most positions can play through it with little to no problems. However, a Quarterback, going through 3/5/7 step drops, avoiding the defense, planting and throwing on said knee, is horribly painful and more so, it was easy to see it made Cutlers throwing motion look pretty damn bad (meaning, I don't think he could adjust to it)... Also, there is a huge difference b/t a HS football player playing through that injury and an NFL QB trying to play through that injury, especially when said QB's OL is fucking terrible... I'm not a Cutler guy, and I never have or will be a Cutler guy, but people need to chill the fuck out with all this hate...

I have a hard time believing that an NFL player of Cutler's stature would just quit on his teammates. IMO people are going overboard with that sort of talk. Cutler has taken a beating this year and has always gotten back up, so I wonder why people would question his toughness. Playing in the SB is the pinnacle of a players career, so him quitting is out of the question for me. In the first half he certainly was struggling, but again his stats sucking isn't anything new for him and certainly not something warranting him to quit. We like the idea of players playing through injury because it adds to their aura, but every situation isn't the same and everyone's tolerence for pain is different.

Ok, here is whats known. He hurt the knee late in the 2nd quarter. He finished the first half with it. He got a pain killing injection at half time. The team medical staff didnt want him to play the third but HE wanted to give it a shot. He came out in the third. 2 run plays sets up a 3rd and 5. Hester runs a jerk route and Jay cant plant or move and throws the ball directly at his feet.

The entire staff figured to Collins healthy was better than Jay hurt. Although Caleb would have been better but thats another topic.

What i dont get, is how anybody can judge him based off of 3 second cutaways from FOX. Caleb said Jay helped him out alot. So how he is getting this quitters rep is still beyond me. I dont know how hurt he was, but he has gotten his ass kicked and not complained one bit.
Because Bears fans are fucking retarded and they can't wait to hate the best QB they've had in their history of some stupid perceptions of how his face looks when he's out of a game or how much of a pussy he is when he tears his MCL, still plays a series and is told by doctors to not go back into the game.

I'm really hard pressed to find a more moronic fan base and yesterday finally proved it to me.
