Why are you missing the point?

The schools wanna pay for the scholarship!

Schools wanna land good players so they can field a good team so they can generate revenue.

It makes perfect sense for schools to give players a "free ride" when THATS WHAT THEY WANNA DO.

And the boosters would indirectly foot the bill anyway because they donate to the school, to have money for scholarships, to have good players, to have good teams.

The only part that doesnt make sense is your logic.

If they didn't feel they had to they wouldn't.

        Talk about missing the point.

Why would the school hand out thousands/millions of dollars in scholarships if they could just let the booster and endorsement deals do it.

You honestly think that the if the schools were presented with a chance to cash in on the kids and not have to pay for their schooling they wouldn't take it?

You're powers have grown weak old man.

If these kids want to cash in on their stardom. Fine. Let them go to the school they want/that has th ebest boosters offers the most money and let the free market decide it. Let them use all that free market money to pay for their own education.

So if schools wouldnt wanna pay scholarships, why would you need to create a rule that doesnt allow them to?

          Zero logic.

Wow. The school wouldn't "want to" because the kids would be able to afford the schooling themselves. The schools would band together to have a chance at saving/making more money if they didn't have to give out scholarships. You really think they wouldn't capitalize on that? The schools would be in favor of the "rule" if it was ever created. Would it "need" to be? Maybe not.

You're talking about such sweeping changes that there would be all sorts of new "rules" regulations/policies.

Inever said "OMGZ establish a rule". I just said let the kids pay for school then. After that you went all typical ZB nutjob on me and assumed a bunch of shit.

How would I make sure the kids pay for their own school? I don't know at this point. Want me to come up with a comprehensive plan over the next few months based on this hypothetical free for all market you want created?

            You were better in hiding.

LOL @ backtracking, you obviously meant that a rule should be in place, and continued to defend it.

"Maybe" doesn't prove your point. Because it "might" be needed.

So as usual, you've proved nothing.

I never once said "create a rule". In fact I ignored your initial question of if I was in favor of one.

                Nice try.

So again I ask you, why *might* you need a rule to stop colleges from doing something they "dont" wanna do?

I never said the rule would be "needed". In fact I implied that the exact fucking opposite could be true.

                      Nice work.

You're the one who suggested this rule, and then backed off to only say it might be needed, and you still cant even answer why.

You bore me with your tactics to defend your lack of logic, Im done here.

                        I never suggested any rule.

I suggested letting the kids pay for their own schooling.

That doesn't have to be a rule.

                        I already said that...TWICE.

                        Awesome.

I never "backed off" anything. You asked me why it(a rule) would be needed and I basically said it "might not be".

                        God you're fucking stupid.

Why would I care? Who even said I'd be in favor of the rule existing if I openly acknowldge it "may not" be needed?

The only thing I've been in favor for is letting the kids pay for school if your Mad Max CFB world existed.

By what means or rules, I don't know(as evidenced by the fact that I don't know if any rule would even be needed), nor do I care.

Honestly i dont see the need for name calling, i can understand messing around & having a good debate & even arguing because i was an expert at all that, but you're taking it too far and im not interested in going down that route. Maybe i have changed over these years but i dont see the point for all this, i just wanted to discuss the issue at hand.
