Offensive RG3-Themed License Plate Prompts Virginia DMV Investigation
A Virginia driver noticed an interesting Robert Griffin III-themed license plate and alerted the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles through Twitter.

As you can see, they're taking the risque combination of letters and numbers rather seriously.

Looks like the perpetrator is a Dallas Cowboys fan. Hmm.

UPDATE: One of Bleacher Report's Twitter followers has let us know that this car has been roaming the streets for some time. Apparently the Cowboys fan acted quickly when the Redskins drafted RGIII with the No. 2 overall pick in 2012.

Hat tip to the Washington Post for the find.

Some people take football entirely too seriously, but I did get a laugh out of that, thanks Maynard.

The more I think about it, the more I think Shanahan doesn't make it to next season right now. Our defense is suffering from a piss-poor secondary, and the offense can church out yards and points- after RGIII made it through the bye- but still does it inefficiently.

Knowing that RGIII would have rust, and that we were down a lot of cap space, I wouldn't agree with axing Shanahan and the staff, but I definitely think it's a real possibility if it seems that these two can't co-exist.

Now Santana Moss is calling out RGIII for wanting him to show accountability. This is now a FUBAR situation, and it really isn't going to surprise me if Shanahan is canned after this season.

its not RGIII, its not Shanny, and for most part - its not the offense.

our defense just sucks. we had no cap space to pick anybody up in the off-season. matter of speaking we had to reconstruct many contracts to keep guys on the team.
            Moss being one of them.

we could easily be 7-3 instead of 3-7, if we had a defense that can get off the field.
Det, Denv, Vikings and Dallas kinda stick out the most and the last Eagle game was kinda

            But
the NFC east is so bad that i dont think anybody is worthy of the division, lol.

The offense definitely has problems. They haven't done jack shit in the first half of most games this season.

Or they do a good job in the first half, and then pull that in the second. There just isn't any consistency.

Yes, it's going to be a really long off-season. I actually think the Redskins have thrown in the towel. I put myself on the season ticket wait list around Week 3. The email I got over the weekend is if you purchase 2014 season tickets now, you get tickets to the Giants, Chiefs and Cowboys games.

Giving away those games, especially the two divisional rivalry games, equates to packing it in, at least from the FO perspective.

That's a tough choice, to start Cousins or not. On one hand, if you want to see what he can do and/or build his trade value, you let him start. On the other, you've had RGIII being very outspoken, and there is no telling what this can do for the locker room right now and the media.

I think that the Shanahan's are coaching for their jobs, and I think they have to keep RGIII in there barring an injury.

i thought about those things you mention
                      but
i am kinda leaning to seeing RGIII finish the season out.
cause if he wants to be the leader, this would be perfect for him to become the goat or hero.

finish strong with pride at the very least
                      or
throw in towel and look like "FAIL" from all aspects.

i am sure Shanny is Staff is thinking about "salvaging credibility" at this point for MNF.
letting that even trickle down to players as well.
if Shanny is gone, there will be a whole bunch of players that will be gone as well, if a new coaching staff comes in.

its going to be a long offseason regardless of when it starts,

Who do you think are going to be gone? I think Hall and Fletcher for certain are gone, likely Santana Moss as well. The vets are going to be gone, but I think the bulk of this team is pretty young. We still need OL depth, and a remade secondary and some LB help for sure.

Berman did have a point right now on the pre-show. Take out the seven game win streak, the team is 6-14 under RGIII. It is unfair to take out that winning streak because all teams get hot, but it's still a good point.

Josh Wilson on Boldin is not going to work, Boldin has the physical advantage over him. Gotta put Hall on him or give Wilson some safety help.

No words to describe this embarrassment currently being played. Most of that team seems to have mailed it in on this season already.

So of all the list of needs, we're likely going to have a coaching change as well. Here's what I'm spotting so far from a roster position

CB and S starters and depth
                                LB starters and depth
                                KR/PR
                                WR depth
                                OL depth
                                DL depth

I'm thinking, at a minimum, Moss, Fletcher and Hall are all gone. Josh Morgan likely won't be re-signed. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Josh Wilson, Riley or Meriweather released either.

The defense has played relatively well when you consider how poor the offense has played at times and they are asked to be out there far too much. Just with age, I expect some of these guys to be released and for the Redskins to do their best to retool the secondary this off-season. We have a good base with the defensive line though, just need an extra body or two.

Also, I seriously consider letting Cousins get in a few games. I doubt it happens, but we will have to see. I think Shanahan's job security can be determined based off what he does there. If he keeps RGIII in, barring injury, his job is not secure for next season. If he puts Cousins in, even near the end, I think it's a safe bet he comes back.
