@NBCdianna: Reiterated by multiple sources, only thing that will change RG3's starting status? If he has "even the slightest pain in his ankle, he sits"
@NBCdianna: Redskins source: "Colt McCoy was told today he will be the backup"
I guess technically it's not official, but the writing is on the wall. Very surprised to see him start, I would want to see him come back after the bye week.
i think RGIII was ready for the MNF against Dallas
BUT
the Redskin organization wanted to see McCoy earn at least a 2nd string QB over Cousins.
Cousins was sooooooo out of the picture on MNF. they didnt mention him or even show him on the sideline (at least not worth talking about).
rightfully so............this was McCoy's chance to prove that he is a better option than Cousins.
remember that Cousins AND RGIII are in their contract year. one of them is going.....
at least now, all the sports media can STFU about how Cousins is the better QB in this role.
they aint saying shit now that McCoy basically won 2 BIG games for the Hogs.

Redskins coach Jay Gruden said Thursday that Robert Griffin III has been medically cleared and, barring a setback, will start Sunday against the Vikings. Where does that leave Week 8 hero Colt McCoy?
Robert Griffin III took part fully in practice Wednesday for the first time since dislocating his left ankle Sept. 14 and, if he makes it through this week without any setbacks, is expected to start Sunday in Minnesota, according to two people with knowledge of the situation.
Speaking at his daily post-practice press conference Wednesday afternoon, Coach Jay Gruden said he hadn’t seen enough yet to determine whether Griffin would be ready to start Sunday’s game, or if Griffin would benefit from more time to get reacclimated to the role and responsibilities that go with it.
“It’s all going to depend on how he does in practice tomorrow and Friday and moving forward, and how I feel like he’s coming back,” Gruden said after the Redskins held a light practice that he characterized as a “glorified walk-through” in shorts and without pads.
Two people with knowledge of the situation said that Griffin definitely has a chance to start Sunday, but cautioned that the decision hinged on Griffin emerging from the week of practice without a setback, or significant struggles in regaining his command of the offense. They said that Gruden plans to continue to evaluate Griffin’s play under heavier workloads on Thursday and Friday before making a final determination.
Another person who spoke on condition of anonymity said that Griffin and his coaches are making strong push in their efforts to prepare him for his first start since Week 2. But they cautioned that while all signs point toward the quarterback making his return, a final decision had yet to be made.
Very tough situation for Hall, the Redskins could save some money against the cap by releasing him. After this, I think a move to safety is a foregone conclusion, if it wasn't before.
Washington Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall, who tore his Achilles tendon last month and underwent surgery to repair it, tore it again this week and will have to redo the surgery, according to sources.
Hall still is likely to be ready for next summer's training camp, though this second injury and surgery will make it that much more difficult.
Rookie cornerback Bashaud Breeland has replaced Hall in Washington's lineup and has shined, collecting 26 tackles so far this season.
Hall is signed through 2017 and will count $4.8 million against the salary cap next year. The Redskins, however, would save $2.375 million if they don't feel he can return and subsequently release him.

he tore it again after a month? that cant be a good sign.
he probably tried to do too much too soon.

The Post said that Hall injured it at his home, and that he had yet to begin rehab. This could put an additional 6-9 months of recovery time onto the original estimate, which means we could see him start the 2015 season on the PUP list
Multiple members of the Redskins organization told ESPN that they believe the decision to go back to quarterback Robert Griffin and away from Colt McCoy, who had led the team to two straight wins, is an owner- and general-manager-driven decision.
So apparently, the decisions to start Griffin is from "upper management" and the lockerroom is not pleased.
Then this happened to the team bus:
The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"
