When is oversigning going to be fully addressed like it needs to be?

Hopefully that kid has some good options to choose from and then tell Saban to kick rocks.
    He signed with Arkansas.

He apparently called Arkansas immediately after getting off the phone with the folks at 'Bama. He found a place but it sounds like he is extremely pissed, and rightfully so. Oh well, just another day at the office for the Nicktator. Build a strong class, trample over the heart of a high school kid in the process.

Meh, he doesn't get paid to make every single kid happy. Its part of lthe deal and the process for some recruits. Obviously the kid will survive considering he landed at another top SEC school. I know, I know, Saban gave his word...blah, blah, blah.

With all of the talk of Nick Saban as one of the greatest CFB coaches of all-time, I felt the need to bump this thread to remind everyone to keep his constant oversigning in mind when assessing his legacy. It's a lot easier to build a monster when you sign 30+ in every class while other coaches follow the rules.

For example, this year Alabama has 9 scholarship seniors. They have zero room to back-count schollies. And yet, they currently have 21 guys committed, and are on pace to sign around 5-6 more. Meaning they could end up as many as 18 scholarships over. I weep for the kids that will be forced out when cut day comes around.

I'm fine with 25/85 being the cap, even though people will gladly point out 25 x 4 doesn't equal 85. If you are a good program, some of your players are going to leave early for a variety of reasons. If they do, you're going to need to replace them or you might have a roster of only like 65, which is less than schools who are currently under sanctions. I'd think the NCAA can work out along the lines of 25/85.
