When is oversigning going to be fully addressed like it needs to be?

He apparently called Arkansas immediately after getting off the phone with the folks at 'Bama. He found a place but it sounds like he is extremely pissed, and rightfully so. Oh well, just another day at the office for the Nicktator. Build a strong class, trample over the heart of a high school kid in the process.Comment

With all of the talk of Nick Saban as one of the greatest CFB coaches of all-time, I felt the need to bump this thread to remind everyone to keep his constant oversigning in mind when assessing his legacy. It's a lot easier to build a monster when you sign 30+ in every class while other coaches follow the rules.
For example, this year Alabama has 9 scholarship seniors. They have zero room to back-count schollies. And yet, they currently have 21 guys committed, and are on pace to sign around 5-6 more. Meaning they could end up as many as 18 scholarships over. I weep for the kids that will be forced out when cut day comes around.Comment

I'm fine with 25/85 being the cap, even though people will gladly point out 25 x 4 doesn't equal 85. If you are a good program, some of your players are going to leave early for a variety of reasons. If they do, you're going to need to replace them or you might have a roster of only like 65, which is less than schools who are currently under sanctions. I'd think the NCAA can work out along the lines of 25/85.Comment
