Hoping this guy winds up on the Packers so he and Rodgers can have gay sex.

Culliver quickly apologized through a team statement but decided that wasn't enough. He showed up at the next 49ers media availability and took every question thrown at him, apologizing and vowing to make amends. He promised to get involved with the LGBT community in San Francisco, and a month later he followed up on that. He spent a day in the Los Angeles offices of the Trevor Project, a national organization that offers crisis and suicide intervention for the LGBT community. Culliver has said he will be back.

              Yes.

Let's be honest, no one is going to come out on twitter and say that they don't want him as a teammate.

It's going to happen by some drunk or stupid NFLer and will become a story. Hell, Jonathan Vilma says the locker room isn't ready for a gay player ... and he's a veteran.

In terms of fans/media, every move he makes will be questioned from here on out. If he fails, is it because he was gay or just a bad player. If he's cut, is it because he's gay or because he wasn't needed. If he drops to the 3rd, again, same questions. He isn't like Jackie Robinson, Jackie was an amazing player. Sam is good, but not THAT good.

Interviews aren't twitter. Players are more aware of the backlash these days. Also, he's a veteran, so fucking what?

Not comparing them as athletes, just the situation.

From a quick lookover, as a player he's got some things against him: undersized, not tremendously fast, questions about whether he's a situational pass rusher, a 4-3 or an outside LB in the pros.
