No joke, I heard George is trying to latch onto an NFL team for this upcoming season. The Bears DO need a veteran backup, so it honestly wouldn't surprise me if the Bears signed George.

It was McMahon in 85 and honestly he didn't even have that good of a year. Basically was just the punky QB from a dominating team that every knew and voted for.

Ick! The Bears will probably draft someone late. The FO has been creaming themselves over Caleb Hanie since last season

A few favorites of mine from that list...

Cade McNown...when he isn't being terrible on the football field, he is chasing around Tim Couch's sloppy seconds and getting rejected and having the police called on him. He is still not wanted at the Playboy Mansion. Gotta love that stalking mf'r.

Henry Burris...he was good in the CFL?

Craig Krenzel...who thought that would be a good idea?

I forgot Rick Mirer as well.

McNown was a punk and had the tools just never cared to learn how to play the game. Everyone on the team pretty much hated him.

Henry Burris was a cast off the Packers practice squad and the Bears thought they found a steal. FAIL.

Krenzel was a guy the Bears got in like the 6th round and just wanted him to be a roster fill. But that season Grossman got hurt, Jonathan Quinn sucked ass, and Krenzel came in and played steady football. Then he got hurt and the Bears signed Hutchinson off the street.

              LOL @ Jonathan Quinn.

Maybe the worst starting quarterback to ever start more then five games in the NFL...ever.

Only win came against the Steelers...true talk.

Yeah he came over from KC when Terry Shea became the OC here. Shea basically went to bat for him and said he was a good QB and would be a great backup and knew Shea's system. Well, Grossman got hurt, Quinn came in and blew ass. Cost Shea his job pretty much.

Hell, I could've sworn it was twice that...I guess that # doesn't account for all the switching back & forth they did between these guys.

Yeah there was a lot of bouncing back and forth with Miller, Matthews, McNown in that era. Obviously the Grossman era with Orton, him, Stewart, Griese, and Chandler. Then some in the early 90's with Harbaugh and Tomczak. Also a bit with Walsh and Kramer.

Kyle Orton will fit in great with his Mountain Man Beard.

Do the Broncos take a QB at #12 or #18. What's the plan now?

I had heard rumors they were looking to possibly use those picks to move up to get Sanchez but with their defensive issue I doubt they would do that. They can land two defensive starters in the 1st round. They already have two capable QB's who can start in the NFL on the roster now and I agree a guy like Nate Davis would be a nice fit a round or two later.

Just a bit of info. Cutler is scheduled to be introduced today at a 5pm Press Conference at Halas Hall. You can hear it on WSCR AM670 The Score or stream it off the website as well.

Weighing in really late here, but figured I'd give my thoughts on the trade. I think it works out well for both teams. I look at the trade in this way - would Chicago have been able to get such an impact player with their first round pick this year? The answer is no. Thus, the trade, IMO, is Cutler for Orton, a 1 and a 3, which doesn't really look that bad.

From Denver's POV, I think Orton/Simms will be able to do a job, and the extra two picks in the first three rounds can be used to solve the real problem from last season - the defence. I think if they draft well, they could still feasibly push San Diego (Norv Turner is a joke) for the final playoff spot
