Canucks-Sharks game last night was pretty ugly. The Canucks looked to be the better team, but Luongo isn't very good. I don't like any of Vancouver's players, but they appear to be in good position on defense, they switch from defense to offense quickly, and they know how to "take penalties". Could be a tough series for San Jose.

The Boston-Tampa game earlier was a snoozer. Boston couldn't do anything against Tampa's 1-2-2.

the sharks played a good 30 minutes...i can even spot them the last half of the second period, but they came out completely defensive in the third and stopped trying to get anything done. i expect to see a lot more out of clowe and pavelski in game 2

They've been doing it all postseason. 10/14 games they've played have been decided by 1 goal.

The Sharks push it when they need to and then back off when they get a 1 goal lead and it has cost them several games now. I understand that conditioning is an issue but they need to suck it up because they are blowing way too many 3rd period leads.

I don't think there's much your D will be able to do vs Tampa's offence. They are clearly the superior in that matchup.

Either Thomas will need to stand on his head or they will have to fail to execute the chances they are pretty much guaranteed to get.

Hopefully T-Mac will put in Justin Braun and Jamie McGinn/Jamal Mayers next game after Huskins and Eager did nothing. Eager was beyond awful.
