I never got the point in PHilly getting Versteeg to be honest. He was a 3rd line guy on the Hawks, so I guess they thought that on Philly. Still, you had to figure that you would want to keep his cap. Now you got to find two teams to take 9Million in cap.

There is a major difference, and if this were to happen now it would have to be like a 10 gamer since Jones didn't even have the puck at all in that play and was laid out.

The NHL is starting to come around with these hits, but it is going to take some time. With the general meeting on Rule 48 coming up, you should see it be more effective next season.

Yeah I'm more than okay with Carter getting the boot to bring Bryz in...speculation on another board says two of Carle/Versteeg/Carter could be gone to make room, I'd prefer to keep Carle and get rid of those two other wastes.

If we have to trade anyone, I'm hoping we move Hartnell for peanuts and then either Carle or Versteeg

Yeah, I know Carle isn't great but I'd rather keep him around and keep the D as strong as possible

Yeah I read that from Eklund too, I think it would take a little more than that to get Homer to trade Carter away. Only way I would do that trade straight up is if Sean Couturier dropped to 8.

I read that trade plus Jacob Voracek who's an FA of some kind apparently...who knows, that seems like a deal that wouldn't happen until the draft which is a while off.
