Dallas maybe shopping his rights but his agent has already said they are waiting till free agency.
I think there was a story a couple days ago that said there was a trade already in place but richards used his NTC and voided it.
A lot of rangers media is saying they don't have interest in signing him. I barely hear much about him going to toronto as well outside of a few articles here and there.
lol @ saying the toronto ownership is unstable. Didn't know the most profitable team in the league (hell one of the top 10 in the world) has ownership problems outside one of the shareholders wanting to sell off thier percentage because their return on investment is above what they wanted.

Erm, OTPP bought out TD to make their share easier to sell. Why is OTPP trying to sell? Why is Peddie leaving? Why is their Leaf season ticket waiting list almost faded away? Why are the Raptors lowering ticket prices? Why is BMO field sitting at 60-70% capacity and dwindling? Why are corporate boxes not selling at the ACC?
MLSE is a clusterfuck if you read between the lines. OTPP is trying to get out now because money needs to be spent to save this mess. They skyrocketed prices in the past couple years on all their assets to suck as much money as they can and now it's time to walk because it's no longer selling like it used to.Comment

OTPP is selling because like I said before their return on investment was high enough and with profits starting to slow down its a good time to get out and reinvest somewhere else.
Peddie is turning 65 next year. You can figure that out I think.
When your team hasn't made the playoffs in 7 years and the economy just went through a struggle waiting lists for season tickets shrinks. There are apparantly unsold box seats though, which shouldn't surprise anyone.
Raptors fuckin blow and might have even worst management then the leafs had in the past. When was the last time the raps were even relevant? If anything buying the raps was a bad idea.
BMO field lol. The only reports coming out of there is how much money they are making off of it. They haven't had a loss in that since it opened 5 years ago.

Here's a quick article talking about the teachers sale:
They essentially took the one team worth 500mil or so and turned it into a possible 2billion return. I'd say outside of buying the jays (not happening obviously) they have done well enough and its time to get out. Its all just investing and reinvesting. Same thing why the CPP had part ownership of skype before selling it off to MS.
