An interesting contrast in styles. I think Boston's defense is a little better than Vancouver's, and they do a good job of getting the puck out of their zone with crisp passes. Vancouver is more explosive. It appears if Boston can stop Vancouver's power play, then Luongo will eventually melt down and Boston will win. I thought Vancouver wouldn't have a difficult time beating Boston, but this series has been great.
Vancouver needs to stop Boston from scoring more than 1 goal to win a game right now wtf is going on? If Tim Thomas is in Vancouver's heads already just wait until they start creating some actual scoring chances and Thomas still stops them with yoga saves.

This is what surprises me the most and probably sums up the last two games especially. There is no comparison in talent, the Canucks even without Hamhuis have got a far superior lineup throughout the three pairings and when you factor in Kesler and Malhotra you have two top drawer defensive forwards, yet at the moment the team making all the dumb errors regarding technique and positioning at the back end is them.
Boychuk, Ference, McQuaid should not be looking far more efficient than Bieksa and Edler.
Vancouver needs to get back on track again. This entire post-season has been about the Canucks beating their own complacency, when they play to the standard expected they win with relative ease but when they lose concentration teams like Chicago and now Boston have wound up running a train on them.
The last two games Vancouver just looked defeated. As pointed out after the game by Cherry, Boston gave them the outside to get in the zone, yet they continued to go in the middle and every time the puck was pushed away and turned over. They just seem like a team that you can piss off and they will fold like a deck of cards. Where as Thomas, who was getting ran over from the very start of the period basically put two middle fingers in the air and said, want to to run me over, I'll just shut you out.
Doesn't also help when 4-5 of Vancouver's top 6 haven't scored in 3+ games. Henrick sucked against Chicago, tore up Nashville/San Jose and is not flaking out.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.
I'm not sure which is going to be more annoying. Toronto fans gloating that a Canadian team wins the cup, or this faggot above.
I think it's funny that I've found more toronto fans going for Boston then vancouver.
I'm in the middle. I'd like to see a canadian team win it but on the flip side thomas deserves a cup with the performance he's giving and there are more canadians on boston so.
I'd also like to see boston win it soley to have an eastern conference team win it. Fuck the west

Sorry, by fans I meant people in Toronto itself. I'll be out on my balcony at night and then hear a roar from the bars down on Eglinton when the Nucks score, I mean who gives a fuck. The Canadian team crap is so fucking retarded.
And it wouldn't bother me for the Bruins to win, my preference really, if the Sharks aren't winning then everyone else in the West can DIAF.
