The other thing about Montreal fans, they will only live in the past when it is good for them. Here are all the playoff apperances, after the lockout.

2006 - Eliminated first round 4-2 by Carolina (blew 2-0 series lead)
2007 - Missed playoffs
2008 - 1st in east, had to go to 7 against Boston(8th) and then got owned 4-1 vs Philly
2009 - Lost 4-0 to boston in the first round

You did well last season all because of Halek. Nothing more, nothing less. When he stopped 40-50 shots a game, it didn't matter that the midgets didn't need to do anything.

I have never said my team was perfect - they are not. But they make the playoffs, they make playoff TV viewing exciting.

I don't deny for a second my team is too small, gets outplayed at times, etc... but they're counter punchers and do that well. And they don't get enough credit for their experienced D, their shot blocking and the number of guys on the team that have Stanley Cup rings.

Of course a Leafs' fan could never point those things out, because they'd need to know something about playoff hockey.

Ask Boston, ask Pittsburgh, ask Washington. Do they respect my Habs? They absolutely do. Ask those teams if they respect the Leafs? :D
