I'm sure that Berlusconi has a say in Lega Calcio's business, as equally as any owner. Also, since Serie A recently broke off from Lega Calcio to form Lega Calcio Serie A (original name, I know), I'm sure the big team owners will have a greater say now.

The formation is good in theory, but wouldn't work out. There were instances when Pippo did play alone (when Pato was injured), and he did well, and I don't think that having one forward would be good enough right now. Ronnie still has a long way to go, and until he's ready to lead this team, we can't expect him to make miracles. I actually prefer the formation that we play now (a staggered 4-3-3, making it essentially a 4-3-1-2), we just need a top striker to play above Pato.
The 4-3-2-1 I meant gives the 2 freedom to roam like Kaka and Seedorf would do before Ronaldinho was signed. That formation was successful enough for a Champions League win. If that's not proof that it works in practice then I don't know what is.

I'm sure Berlusconi will have more of a say than other managers. He's clearly got Mafia links.

Looks like Martins will become the first Newcaslte player to be sold this summer. I just wonder where the money's going.

        Mike Ashley's pockets

The longer this goes on, the more worried I become of two straight drops.

How much did Newcastle buy Martins for?

Did the lose/gain money. I surprised more haven't gone already too.

That's exactly what I said on another forum. Considering this whole say seems like a crazy scheme for him to make even more money.

I think we bought him for 9m too.

You can blame the lack of selling on Ashley, this sale has pretty much meant we won't do anything in the transfer market.

There aren't any more to sell. And since we didn't have relegation clauses, they are all still on Premier League wages. So there is literally no one stupid enough to pay 3-5 million for guys like Kevin Nolan or Joey Barton if they have to meet wage demands of 60,000+/week

Kolo Toure now gone, too. Fuck the Manchester City Gunners. I would have been much happier losing Gallas than Toure.

Friendly. Can people please get over the idea that these games count?

Maybe that's why Man City didn't bid for Gallas, just to get at you. OR maybe they didn't want a decent defender who is clearly a locker room cancer (lol Jim Johnson) bitch.

Thanks Captain Obvious! Why did you think I would prefer to see Gallas leave? I figured that it was obvious enough to not need to be typed...

I'm pretty sure City did try and come in for both of them in January though...

How many players were there that Man City didn't bid on in January? Didn't they throw out a ton of big money bids all over the place?

Oh, and Mike Ashley turned up to fuck it all up too.
Why is Hughton still around? He must be a hell of a assistant to keep his job for this long because god knows his managing/motivation/man managment/general attitude fucking stinks
