To be honest I was actually going to go but I completely forgot about it and ive turned down my buddy for so many of these shows that he doesnt even bother to ask me anymore. But today he told he was going down in a limo if I wanted to get in on it.. But really? A limo to an ROH show? Boughetto at its finest.Comment

Here is the review he's talking about:
After three excellent nights of G1 action, New Japan took the tournament to Osaka for night four. Osaka is known for their great crowds, and they lived up to their reputation tonight. And it wasn't hard to stay hot , because they were treated to a Show of the Year contender. Remember how great Korakuen was? It took exactly two days for this company to top themselves.Comment

Legendary football player Art Donovan passed away....
At King of the Ring 1994...his involvement featured him as part of a 3-man commentating team with Gorilla Monsoon and Randy Savage that night.
Weird as fuck indeed, and why they put him there, I don't think anyone really knows. It's not like he sat in for a match or was honored in a quick segment....the guy was a color commentator for the majority of the show.
I say majority because maybe halfway through, Savage/Monsoon got fed up with his ramblings and even the production team began to veer away from showing him on camera (by this point, the other 2 essentially did their best to ignore the guy lol).
"How much does dis guy weigh?" - he asked about nearly every wrestler who stepped in the ring
He evidently didn't know much about pro wrestling and was genuinely curious about random shit. It was a terrible show, so his comments were welcomed & hilarious.

If you were wondering why Masato Tanaka wasn't part of G1, this is why. He was back in his home promotion taking part in their big tournament, The Zero-1 Fire Festival. Other names of note were Daisuke Sekimoto, Yuji Okabayashi, Shinjiro Otani, SAKAMOTO! (yes, the guy Tensai used to beat up nightly), and others.
I'm looking for uploads. Curious to see how Raideen got over as a new star.
