I'd place Ziggler on that fringe top 5 as well

I like Ziggler...he's got the ability to be...but he has not been put into a position to do so. He's been working with Del Rio, Big E, Jack Swagger this year...you just aren't getting much out of those guys.

I would have liked to see him work more with Jericho when he was still in town...I would have loved to see Christian beat Del Rio for the title and have a little Ziggler/Christian program...maybe see them get a good 12+ at a pay per view in the mid-card. He's just not putting together the string of match quality that a lot of these guys have...I mean, if you look at the best matches in the WWE this year...odds are good, you will see them involving Bryan, Punk, Cesaro, Zayn, Ambrose, Christian, Cena, Jericho.

Ambrose has cooled off. He'll end up with half a year of great stuff, half a year of mediocre. His US Title run is pretty mediocre. Same boat as Ziggler, as Shield push faded thanks to the other two idiots, so did his match time and card placement.

          I don't disagree.

On my LIST...I've got a few Shield matches in there, so, it needs to be stated.

Don't really have a Ziggler match. What was his best one, that Del Rio match at Payback?

Ziggler had some good matches on RAW

He's had some good matches, just nothing that stands out. Hence, why you didn't name any...

I like Ziggler...he's just not hot right now and they aren't putting him into a position to be as good as he can be. I just think there are a few guys that are better than Ziggler...the usual obvious ones, and I'll throw Cena ahead of Ziggler until Ziggler has at least one match that would crack a Cena Top 10.

Happened as soon as they put the straps on them. They've essentially stopped defending them. It's happened.......maybe twice for each belt? Same with Curtis Axel. The belt isn't going to keep getting the guys over if they aren't fighting to defend it.

And now they are likely to drop at least one of the belts and be involved in the McMahons/Danielson storyline and definitely face losing all of their steam.

I think Rollins & Reigns have had good matches with The Uso's.

But you are right, Ambrose went right downhill in the match department when he got the belt. And you called it when it happened, so credit to you.

They did, it was a great feud. But that's just one in the months they've held it. Even if they put random guys together like Show and Mark Henry, it's still better then defending nothing.

The funny thing is, I am going to bet that they give the Wyatt family the same treatment. Maybe not Harper and Rowan as tag champs (those would be some awful matches) but I am sure the US title goes to Bray Wyatt.

That match against Kane was turrible, and it wasn't just because of Kane. I thought the whole gimmick was average to begin with, and with Harper and Rowan below average in the ring, Harris has to step up. He just didn't in that match.

You ever notice though that every group of two guys are heels? It almost seems like WWE needs to build a face triangle to face off against these heels. You got The Shield, you have 3MB (lol), and you have now the Wyatt Family. It seems like they could use a face team to battle these guys and have some good matches and things happen.

I really can't name a face group of three guys. I get the heels have it easier to get over with in a group, but something should come up for three face guys to do.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

                          "rammer" and "cummings"

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

The gimmick, the vignettes, the presentation...great.

                              The meat & potatoes? Awful.

I think they have one of the most creative entrances WWE has done in awhile. It is so simple, but it is so perfect for a 'family/cult' gimmick. No tron video to fuck it up, just the creep lamp in the darkness.

I'm sure at some point they will put them against the Undertaker, which could work well to really go crazy on the darkness stuff.
