I am just watching this SummerSlam WWE 2K14 sit down thingy...it just seemed like a mess from jump street...

You got JR, possibly with one or two drinks in him...you got Ric Flair definitely pretty buzzed...you got Steve Austin egging everyone on...Mick Foley egging Flair on...JR swearing every 5 minutes...and everyone else just staying out of the way.

Yeah, I watched it last night too. Kind of a shit-show, but not really as bad as people made it out to be. They made it seem like Flair was full-on Namath status. Not really. He was clearly more than a couple of drinks into the night and rambled, but what else are these things for? The people that come out for these or watch them at home hope that these guys never shut up. JR made things worse, yes. But they've dealt with much bigger debacles. It just comes down to JR not being well-liked by Vince. He's a whipping boy and always on a short leash. He's got a strong opinion and sticks to his guns. The guys that last around Vince aren't ever described that way. From Dunn to Laurenaitis to Patterson and Briscoe, they're all guys that make a career of agreeing with Vince and not making waves.

I think his departure will be felt in NXT, and I have a feeling they will have JR back in some capacity within a year. His experience and evaluations are much needed, and I think he'll want to come back as well.

You are certainly right about Vince, but the only thing that will trump that is being good for business. I think JR, in just about any capacity, is good for business.

JR is valuable, and I certainly think he'll be back in some small capacity. But the problem for him is developmental is on auto-pilot now. It's too deep, it has too much money and too much talent. It's too big to fail. Even without JR, they're going to continue to pump out great talent that work the way they want.

It seems Sami Zayn's new finisher is the Yakuza Kick.

So, TNA is now trying to rip off the Summer of Punk storyline for AJ Styles?

Probably. I don't get it. They had momentum with him, then made him lose and drop it for no reason. Only to continue on and have him take the BFG series anyway. They've always been direction-less, for the most part. But now, I can't even begin to understand what they're trying for....

The fans took a giant shit on it when it was Sombra vs Volador for the mask. They wanted Atlantis vs Ultimo Guerrero. They misread things badly here.

I enjoyed the Blue Panther/Averno hair match.

How many more months until Kelly Kelly starts doing SciFi movies? And then has to jump to hardcore porn?
