The American Wolves, Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards reported today to the WWE Performance Center. We are told that they will be in Orlando, Florida for a week-long tryout.
As previously reported in the Elite section of PWInsider.com, there have been some in WWE who have pushed for the pair to be signed despite some resistance from those who feel the company is currently stocked with good workers from the independent scene.

One WWE source believed the one week tryout could be stage one of the pair receiving a short-term trial deal that would send them to developmental for a few months.
    SuperKevin, please confirm. Thanks.

"Originally from Ghana, West Africa but really from Boston and still using Jamaican music because his last name is Kingston but no longer using a fake Jamaican accent because now we admit he's from Boston by way of Ghana" Kofi Kingston cracks me up every time.

Monday Night Game wasn't total shit yesterday, so that may play a part as well. Ratings come out Wednesday, we're usually good for posting them.

Worse yet that match "accomplished" two things:

          1) Ryback had most of the offense so it really DIDNT make Big Show look stronger, he hit his fluking bullshit godawful piece of shit finisher on him and that was it.

          2) You had a moment you could have saved for a PPV — Ryback putting Show in the Shellshocked, given away on free TV AND kicked out of...

Big Show segment was mind numbing.

All he had to do was kill somebody. This isn't rocket science. It's the go home show. Kill somebody. Yell a lot. Look menacing.

Curtis Axel, who won it in a three way match with Wade Barrett and The Miz.

Reminds that the current WWE main roster is a parade of scrubs.

Last night's tremendous 12-man tag main event featured...

-6 guys who cut their teeth for years on the indie scene, in Japan, or both

-6 guys with bloodlines, as sons of pro wrestlers

So you had 12 dudes who have a real passion for the business, either because they grew up in it, or paid dues to get to where they are. Why the WWE continually tries to get away from finding people like this will be something I will never understand.

EDIT - Toss in the post match run ins with Real Americans & Rey, and you had 14 out of 15 guys with the indie/family pedigree, and one guy who came from amateur wrestling which has always been a great feeding ground.

It's no accident that the main events & closing segments of RAW have been so awesome for the last two weeks.

I thought that was the best main event Raw has had since UK Cena/Michaels. Just a fantastic, fun match that didn't get too complicated until it was over. Hot tag, faces run train on the heels, finisher, game over.

My only complaint is the goddamn Punk/Rollins slingshot spot. Seemed forced and out of place. I don't get Trips' boner for that move. I swear it's in every other match.

Ever watched a Triple H match? It's in everyone of those.

Of course. And I hated all of those too. It was easy to avoid those though, as opposed to seeing it forced down my throat with the whole roster...

I have to rant about Shoemaker.

He went to the DGUSA show on Sunday, and tweeted a pic from the venue "Pro wrestling from Brooklyn". He made two other tweets, lame easy jokes like (paraphrasing) "who is this Chris Hero guy ripping off the Kassius Ohno gimmick!", and "This Trent (Barreta) guy is going to make it someday!". Those guys were in WWE, get it, get it? Cutting edge humor, I know.

This is what makes me mad about Shoemaker. He, even more than Meltzer, has the loudest voice in mainstream wrestling journalism. He has the biggest & highest profile platform. He's a good writer, if you like the new age conversational writing style that Bill Simmons has popularized. He is CLEARLY a nerd fan like we are, and knows damn well what DGUSA is, and who the rest of the people on the card are. I know this because he casually mentions indie shows all of the time, and is familiar with guys when WWE signs them.

Yet instead of helping spread the word on the cool wrestling that is happening out there that isn't WWE, he does this "too cool for school" act and stays as mainstream as possible to retain his "hey, I know I write about this stuff, but at the end of the day it's just silly wrestling and it isn't to be taken seriously, especially these indie geeks" aura.

He could have talked up DGUSA, informed his followers of how the WWE roster is loaded with its alumni, or maybe even talked up Ricochet or AR Fox or Johnny Gargano or The Young Bucks...

He could write a column about it.

But he won't. But maybe that's why he makes a living writing about wrestling, keepin' it easy & taking no chances.

He never even bothered to type the letters DGUSA or Dragon Gate USA. "Pro wrestling in Brooklyn"

I'm fired up, I think i'll write something for VOW and rip him to shreds.
